The biggest move day was a success, and I've spent the entirety of this week unpacking EVERYTHING, from rebuilding bed frames to unwrapping glassware. I wanted to kind of do it all in one fell swoop so that I can settle as quickly as possible. I have one more gnarly day to grab the last bulk of furniture on Friday, and then I'll be pretty much done! Which means that I should be back to physically drawing by the weekend. This means completing stalled commissions, Q&A's, and continuing the comics!
Just a couple more days and you'll start seeing some normalcy on Patreon again. Thank you so much for hanging tight and can't wait to be back soon! ^^

2021-03-11 23:05:01 +0000 UTCI hate moving. It no fun, it sucks, I hate it. What I hate worse, however, is remodeling after you've lived in it for 15 years, WHILE still living in the house. Having to move everything out of 1 room into other room(s), rip everything out, replace all the outlets, trim, etc, paint, and then leave the flooring not done (this room will be the staging room to move stuff into as I continue to do the rest of the house and no use putting flooring in until I no longer need to move stuff in and out). If I ever have to do this again, I'm renting one of those pod thingies, throwing everything in there, renting a hotel/apartment to live out of, remodel the house, then throwing everything I don't want/need away or donate, then move back in to the house. Did I mention I hate moving? :p

I hope you enjoy your new place, and have time for yourselves to fix it up the way you want it. Dont worry about us... we're all hanging in here!

I don't know the details, and don't want to pry, but when we bought our first house an older friend gave us this bit of advice: "You have to know your limits and your prioritites. So keep 3 lists: Urgent, Important, and Nice to have/Someday. Once a month review the urgent list, to make sure there isn't serious trouble brewing. Then if you have time, scan the Important list to see if there is anything else you can tackle or something that can be moved to the Someday list. Then the last thing you do each month -- and this is important - burn the someday list! You'll never get to it, and that's fine. Screw the house. Remember to enjoy life."
