The Ocean Legacy Foundation: Utilizing spatial mapping, education and research, clean-up expeditions and plastic to fuel technologies to develop the world leading Marine Debris Solutions program.
PangeaSeed Foundation: International non-profit organization acting at the intersection of culture and environmentalism to further the conservation of our oceans.
Oceana: Seeks to make our oceans more biodiverse and abundant by winning policy victories in the countries that govern much of the world's marine life.
Friends of the San Juans: Protecting Orca whales and the Salish Sea from major oil spills in the San Juan Islands area.
Ocean Conservancy: Creating science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.

2018-03-06 04:54:27 +0000 UTCThere are a couple of vessel types I don't look forward to photographing or refuse to photograph unless I must - livestock carriers and whalers. Thankfully, livestock carriers are very rare in the Irish Sea and there are 0 whalers in this area. Many members of my local shipping community (River Mersey) feel the same way about these vessels. I love the seas and the marine industry - I don't love whalers or livestock carriers. :( I'd love an antiwhaling org. I hate the dumping of plastics too Ocean Legacy for me, I think. I've picked up lots of plastic off my local beach dropped by anglers.
