So I'm now done with all still images of course. Onto animations. After I finished the last renders I went back through all of them and cleaned up some things I missed in postwork (Photoshop) and re-organized everything so I wouldn't forget anything when it was time to code. I created an animation spreadsheet and re-evaluated them so I understood exactly what I'd be doing in each and which ones were the most challenging. I had some weird computer problems the last week or so, which I finally had to solve by reverting to an older Windows restore point. I don't know if I got some weire Trojan or there was a Windows update that got corrupted, but stuff was broken on my PC that had no right to be. That's mostly done now but it looks like I've unfortunately lost all my DAZ Studio custom content categories. That's a bummer since the amount of time those took to create and maintain was very substantial.
I spent a few days dealing with unrelated things too and re-evaluating the money situation in my family, considering inflation, rising interest rates and the crash of the markets. I have to be honest with you guys - the (continuing) market crash has affected me and my family pretty hard. At least it's put the fear of reality into me. It's going to take some concentrated effort to get us back into the financial "safe zone". I know I've already slowed my production pace once, but I have to do some re-evaluation of how much time I can and should be giving this project for a while. Now that I've taken a much needed breather I'm hping I can put out one animation per week until they're completed. I'm extremely happy I've gotten the stills all done... all 630 of them! And I needed some connection to fans who expected frequent updates to drive me to finish them. I knew that if I completed the stills there would be nothing that would keep me from finishing and producing the VN. But it's a bit weird now because the work that's left to do (animations, sound/music and coding) isn't the kind of work I can really provide content to you for. Giving you animation files as I complete them (beyond the one I've provided) seems too much like letting the cat out of the bag, and coding and music are just not the kinds of things that allow me to trickle out content.
As long as I have Patrons I'll continue to update you on progress, and at this point I don't plan to resume Patreon billing until there's an actual product to deliver. My hope is that since I'm not charging anything, you'll stick around. Just know that I appreciate that you all are interested in this project and want to support it. As always I welcome any comments and questions!
