TAG Chapter 1 Progress: Update #32
Added 2022-04-16 06:02:38 +0000 UTCI had hoped to be done with the stills in this scene by today, but I ran into a weird problem that needed solving. Sometimes software can be extraordinarily frustrating. All of a sudden Olivia's eyes were rendering black. Mostly the iris (colored portion) but also to some extent in the sclera (white of the eye). Went through hours of troubleshooting and research to figure out what was going on. Nothing worked until finally I noticed a harmless setting on a light. Kind of setting that normally wouldn't be a problem but I changed it just because... well I was out of ideas! It fixed it. This is I'm sure the result of a software bug but from what I understand it's not possible to be fixed yet. Oh well, at least now I know the bandaid solution.
That close up of Ms. Matson in the post here... it shocked me how lifelike her face was. It was so good I instantly wished I had better hair for her. But anyway: hell of a model!
I'll finish up the remaining stills for this scene this weekend, and complete the script for the final chapter 1 scene. That one's pretty easy, though the scene itself might require some setup. Anyway, have a great weekend!
