TAG Chapter 1 Progress: Update #15

Bangin away on scene 5. As I suspected, this scene is taking more work. When you show figures moving around on a bed, with a mattress, sheet, pillows and a blanket or comforter, each of those items has to have a "physics simulation" performed on it so the normally flat or even surface gets deformed by the bodies of your characters. That takes a lot of setup and computer time to do.

I'm enjoying setting up these sex scene images more than I expected to though! I really wish I could share the render right after this one shown here, but it's still rendering.

A while back (I think it was the first update) I mentioned something about a possible idea to provide voiceovers for the dialogue. That's not going to work out like I hoped. Two problems:

1) Even though text to speech has gotten MUCH better, it's still really not good enough.

2) I realized that doing voiceovers for all dialogue could never work, because the MC's name will be the player's name (well, unless he opts not to enter names when prompted, in which case it would be "Brian Bannister"). No way to do even computer TTS in realtime to accomplish that.

However, I did decide that speech that a character listens to, like a phone call, VM message, TV or car audio could be voiceover, and there is little enough of that that I can afford to have a human voiceover person record those. So I'm doing that. I have a very talented female voice person who's already recorded some files, and just emailed me another batch in fact. I'll also need a male voice to do the MC, but unless I'm forgetting some I don't think there are any other male characters I'd need to cover. I'll probably try to record my own voice for the MC and if I don't like it, find a male voiceover person for him.
