The Alpha Gender [Ren'Py Programming] - Where are we right now?

GAME PROGRAMMING - I've got the project file for this started, and the very beginnings of code written. Ren'Py is pretty easy to write, and there are LOTS of resources. I've got some programming background, but I never really did it as the main portion of my job back in my "career" days (used to be a "smart home" design engineer and wrote code for automation systems) and I've certainly never coded a game. So it should be a learning curve for me, but I'm not too worried about it. Fortunately visual novels aren't very challenging as far as code complexity. Can't get too far ahead of story decisions and scene renders with this part of the process, since the coding has to do with how to treat the 'resources" of the game, and you need to have all the resources (scenes, sounds, animations, etc) and know exactly what to do with them (final story decisions, player choice branching, etc) before you can really code.
