Okhlivni! A Silly Little CR 0 Fey Familiar!

Hello everybody! This week I bring to you not a creepy and fucked up aberration, but instead an alternative familiar and little troublemaker squirrel known as an Okhlivni!

This little critter is inspired by the Skiurid from 3e, a literal black evil squirrel, and Dungeons and Drawings, but has been adapted with Choctaw mythology! From my understanding, the Choctaw people at one point believed that during a Solar Eclipse, a Black Squirrel was eating away at the Sun, and I thought this was really cool and made these little light-eating squirrels to go off of that idea! Their name is also loosely derivative of the Choctaw language for darkness and squirrel!

These funny little fey beasts don't boast the greatest stats nor the most optimal familiar builds, but they've got tons of mischief and flavor at their fingertips as they can eat away at light sources, scamper around, and even jump around in darkness; making them rather hard to hit!

If cute little critters are a hit with your group, consider having a fun lil' social encounter with one of these guys slowly eating away at the group's campfire and zipping around, avoiding being caught! And if you've got a Wizard friend who can give them an endless source of scrumptious magical light; consider letting them be a familiar!
