When Warren walks into the room, you feel it. You can just sense through the air that here is a woman who makes shit happen, someone who has knowledge to share and also makes space to learn— a combination of traits that makes her naturally well-suited to teaching.
Geek Girl Strong is the fitness classes and community that Warren organizes for nerds who are as enthusiastic about moving their bodies as they are about their fandoms. I’m pretty sure she’s the only person EVER to hold fitness classes at comic conventions for the attendees!
Her classes are focused on exercise for every body and ability. She’s there to help her students move and work in the ways that are right for them and their specific needs. I was impressed to find that she’s even got exercises you can practice while sitting in a chair at your desk! She’s not trying to transform people to fit unrealistic beauty standards, she’s there to facilitate people developing a healthy relationship with their bodies.
