Then with Arisu he has almost no agency, but unlike previous similar iterations, we don't know as much about the other characters, making them basically redshirts+. Also a game with the rules changing as it goes is shite.

2025-10-20 21:23:00 +0000 UTCThe more I rewatch this season, the more I like it. Is it as great as the first 2 seasons? Of course not, nothing can top those. But it is still so much enjoyable and worthy of rewatching it that's for sure. I love this episode too actually. The whole season, there were moments where it made me still gasp like the other seasons did. I don't really care much for other people's opinions, as long as I still enjoy watching the show. And it sounds like you guys continue to enjoy watching it as well and that's all that matters really. I was sad when Kazuya didn't make it. I honestly wanted to see how he makes it throughout, alas it's not meant to be :( I didn't care much for Usagi's teammates because we didn't get to delve into them as we did Arisu's teammates' are though. Although, I have to admit, throughout all this time, I was sorta side eyeing Usagi and Ryuji. I was like "Usagi, what are you doing??" I can't help but admit that there is a chemistry between those two.

With the trains I think the reason why the gap looked so big is because of the camera angles, kind of how Real Estate pictures make things look way bigger than they actually are.

Sad to see people not enjoying season 3 (usually there's a lot of comments to BM reactions), but this episode objectively was great (and I agree with Mason that it should be top rated episode for the whole series), and I love the guys appreciating all the hard work AiB crew put into the show (this was the same crew since 2020, they clearly had passion for the series and it shows in writing, directing, acting - on the latter I'll talk more in details for the last episode's reaction as there are moments which define how much AiB crew cared about the series). Great game design, decorations, editing (pacing between two games was awesome) and cinematography (that shot of Arisu and Usagi seeing each other in the opposite trains was beautiful). AiB builds intense vibes so well, but also plays quiet scenes so nice, good balance of providing anxiety and relatabilty to characters inner struggles. I don't care what naysayers are claiming in their arguments, I love this series and it brought me (and hopefully to a lot of others) such joy and sentiments about human nature's complexity.
