2025-02-25 02:05:53 +0000 UTCI liked that Near lied to Light and the investigation team, and this may be my own bias, but I like to think he was protecting Mello because a little part of him still likes him (and obviously the 2nd L can’t be trusted). Mello is the person that is closest to Near, they grew up together and are both on basically the same level of intellect. Would either of them admit it? Never in a million years. They are useful to each other in this Kira case, but a littttttttle part of me likes to think of them as brothers 🥹 just a little👌🏼 bit
