Toccoa Georgia is only four hours from me. Me and a friend of mine have been planning a trip there. Going to stay for a couple of days so we can walk the Currahee Trail and go to the museum they have which is actually the old train station that a lot of these gentlemen probably rode in on to stay at camp Toccoa. They actually have barracks that have been rebuilt from the wood that the original barracks were built with. You can actually stay at these. The Museum is filled with all kinds of amazing things as well. They actually have one of the horse stables that they ended up shacking up in while in Europe. In this stable, they found many things like American candy bar wrappers, tennis shoes, and even a letter that was written to Bull Randleman (Michael Cudlitz) from his parents. They will certainly be an amazing trip and I can’t wait. You guys are going to end up, loving all these gentlemen, like family by the end of this series.

Hey, you guys might want to turn the subtitles off. At least for the beginning maybe. You’re going to end up, spoiling some of the names of the gentlemen that survived before you get to the end of the show.

I have no sound in Firefox browser. I had to switch to Chrome to hear them. WTF?

This show does such a great job of taking the real events that happened in seconds and putting them into the story. Like Buck fumbling the grenade or Toye getting hit with grenades. So many of those blink and you miss it moments actually happened.

Loving the current Sunday, Monday schedule with Band of Brothers and Attack on Titan! At least for the next few weeks.
Great reaction guys. This episode always sticks out in my mind for an incredibly intense depiction of D-Day. Amazing quality and performance from all involved...especially considering this is not a movie but a mini-series.

What I love about this is that they don’t reveal who is talking at the beginning

By the way guys, since you're watching Peaky Blinders as well: the actor who plays Winters, Damien Lewis, was married to the late Helen McCrory, who played Polly on that show (and Narcissa Malfoy in the Potter series) for 14 years until she passed away.

If you guys haven’t seen a “A night at the garden” it’s about the 1939 American nazi rally at you guessed it Madison square garden the same one your favorite artist performs at it’s look at the nazi impact in America a lot of people think we didn’t have American nazis at the time but go watch the documentary you’ll see plenty

Once you guys finish this series, I highly recommend checking out Ron Livingston's behind the scenes bootcamp videos and some of the other interviews these guys did. They became so dedicated to this they still have reunions to this day. Each and every one of those guys poured everything into learning about their character and portraying them as accurately as possible. Best WWII series or movie out there in my opinion.

The American who was fighting for the Nazis was part of the Volksdeutsche (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volksdeutsche). There's some info on their participation in WW2 online, but not much. But yes, some Americans of German heritage but not citizenship did go and fight for Germany during WWII.

Spears is the absolute boyo. Built for it. He's like the Yank version of Mad Jack Churchill.

Looking forward to watching this in a bit! I dunno if y'all have seen him in anything, but interested to see if any of you guys recognize Andrew Scott as Cowboy (he was in the conversation for an Oscar nomination last year for the film All Of Us Strangers, and has gotten a lot of critical acclaim for his performances in stuff like Sherlock and Fleabag). He's also nominated for an Emmy this year for his performance in the miniseries Ripley (the same story as The Talented Mr. Ripley). Fantastic actor.
Can't wait to watch the reaction here in a little bit!
