2024-07-22 17:57:50 +0000 UTCFor as much backlash as the show got before it aired about them casting Black men to play House Velaryon and changing that up from the source material, it's really made it easier to tell their blood relations lol I also love the cast for that whole side of the Targaryen family tree, they've really been giving killer performances.

2024-07-22 13:20:37 +0000 UTCYea season 3 was greenlit sometime last month I believe. I think they'll start filming next year, and release the season in 2026. We're also getting another spin-off show on a smaller scale, also set in Westeros. That's been announced to come out in 2025, and will hopefully have a yearly release afterwards.

2024-07-22 06:32:44 +0000 UTCAs far as we know, Velaryons are not a dragon riding house, even though they come from Valyria like the Targs. Corlys does not have a dragon. his brother Vaemond did not have a dragon. Corlys' kids (Laenor and Laena) had dragons because their mother was Rhaenys. So Addam should not be able to ride a dragon if you believe that only Targaryens can claim dragons. However, you should remember Laenor (Rhaenyra's last husband who they faked the death of so he could go live his life) was Seasmoke's last rider, and Addam and Alyn are Laenor's half brothers and closest living relatives aside from Corlys. So either this is a reveal that Velaryons can claim dragons just like Targaryens, and just haven't tried, or Addam has Targaryen blood as well. Or Seasmoke just really misses Laenor and went for his half brother.

2024-07-22 05:10:19 +0000 UTCAdam is Corlys's bastard so he has Velaryon blood. The Velaryons like the Targaryens come from Valyria. Valyrians were known as the Blood of the Dragon. That's were the Targaryens & the Velaryons were before the Doom of Valyria which caused Aegon to go west and conquer westeros. The Targaryens & Velaryons were the only surviving houses of Valyria after the Doom. Its because of Adam's Valyrian blood that he is able to claim the dragon.
