2024-07-19 13:18:12 +0000 UTCNo idea how Soldier Boy will come into play. Homie won't wake him up as he is definitely afraid of him or still has his humanity and doesn't want to hurt his "dad". Wonder if he'll trust Sage and bring her in and if so, will she make or have a plan for Soldier Boy. Will they test the virus on him ? Is New Noir just a nod to the actor (and the comics) or does he have a bigger role to play ? He seemed somewhat reluctant in the beginning but he also seems very impressionable.

He is a (supe) teenager who is trying to rebel and find his own path. Don't think he'll join his dad at least not right away. Maybe he'll turn around. But will it be too late by then is the question.

2024-07-19 12:34:12 +0000 UTCYou guys are awesome. One of the few reactors who got that Annie was not really mad at Hughie but at herself as she has been throughout this season. The shapeshifter had access to Hughie's memories as well so she was fulfilling Hughie's dreams or fantasies (as she's a sociopath). The dress. The costume. The proposal. Not depressed but chippy and happy. Hearing all that from Hughie confirmed Annie's dark thoughts that he hates the "real" her. Hence the projection from her. --- My take on the future story: Gen V is going to be great. There could be a sort of rebel faction storyline leading to The Boys S5. It might even be a big part of the story as they are now in a "new world". Our gang (who I think are trapped in their memories) will wake up and be a part of the rebels. Then they'll play a role in S5. We might get some (new) world building as well. I also think the Gen V gang will come across Zoe while breaking the kids out from Red River which is now most likely a prison for all the Starlighter kids. Maybe Zoe will join them ? Maybe they run into Stan Edgar and he joins or recruits them ? Further, I could see our gang meeting The Boys throughout S2 in random scenes. I think Frenchie will be forced to work on a cure for the virus (maybe along with captured Sameer) and/or make it controllable. I also think in Gen V S2 we will find a way to break people out of Kate's spell and they'll use that to free Frenchie and possibly others. After all this time, I really don't want a Kimiko vs. Frenchie for like half a season. I will be slightly disappointed if they take that route. Is Butcher all alone now ? Do we know anyone he might work with ? As for Annie, I can see her trying to find Maeve. Maybe Maeve will lead a group of rebels ? I don't want her to become a supe again. I can also see A-Train coming back and finding Annie. It shouldn't take him that long.

2024-07-19 08:50:51 +0000 UTCThere's been two theories to what Ashley's powers might end up being, and one of the stronger ones is based on the comics and that last shot of her. In the comics there is a character named Jack from Jupiter who's originally marketed as a crime fighting alien. In reality, he was just a human who became deformed from taking V. There's a lot of similarities to this character and Ashley like: being ignored and bullied by the seven, hedonistic, and Jack possesses the power of invulnerability which Ashley needs most at the time of taking V. The second theory is that the serum may have given her snakes for hair much like Medusa, or hair covering her entire body. I also loved the scene between Homelander and Sage. Especially a quieter (and maybe more sinister version) of his theme playing while Sage explains this is all part of her plan. I like to think that this is meant to show that he sees her as his equal, or at least the writers want the audience to know she is.

2024-07-19 08:29:24 +0000 UTCWhat an episode! A damn good finale that, imo, makes the rest of the season much better as a whole. It definitely had its ups and downs, but the finale tied things up in a nice, neat bow. To answer a couple of questions you guys had: 1. To Oak - Yes, Butcher took compound V (real V, not Temp V) but he did that between seasons 3 and 4. Back in episode 4 of this season when Hughie got V from A-Train to give his dad, Butcher catches him and says something along the lines of "V ain't gonna work, I already tried it and all it did was bring the big day (his death day) forward". So, back when he took it, it didn't do anything for him at that time. What likely happened is that the V latched onto Butcher's tumor instead and turned that "super". Then I guess the V'd up tumor could choose when to come out to protect, heal, kill, etc. When Butcher gave it (Kessler) control, it decided to heal Butcher completely. So I guess Butcher is better now? 🤷 2. The supe that dropped the boat on Annie and Hughie at the end was Cindy. She wasn't from Gen V, she was from Season 2 of The Boys (ep 5 or 6, the mental hospital / jail for supes that Stormfront was running). 3. Diamond Dave's mention of the Supernatural series. Funny thing, this episode probably had the biggest nod for Supernatural fans - the guy who plays President-Elect Robert Singer also plays an important character in the Supernatural series called Bobby Singer. Already his character is a massive nod to Supernatural, however in this episode he says two words that are synonymous with the Bobby Singer character from Supernatural; "Idjits" and "Balls!". Both are expressions that Bobby Singer in Supernatural is super well known for, and it was so cool to see it!

I reckon they took out newman because I feel in Gen V you got Marie who has the same powers as Newman so hopefully Gen V could be the rest of the group escaping then help to rescue the boys in season 5 maybe 🙏🏼.. Butcher & Annie Team up possibily 👀
