The actor who plays Martin, Logan Miller, is in Escape Room. Both it and Escape Room 2 are great movies. You should check them out 😁

oak, i just want to say thank you for what you said. it may seem like a small gesture, but for many people (including me) it was exactly what they needed to hear. i hardly ever watch full commentary videos (adhd) but something compelled me to watch your review in this video, and i’m so glad i did! you are an amazing soul, all of you are, thank you for all the work you guys do!

Please don’t. Let’s not go into the Disney children’s realm unless they’re true classics. 🫠

Alanna Meyers

Hii. I have been a big fan of your channel for like a long time and I have a request. I think you three should get into the Descendants movies. They are really interesting. It's like Disney is. Don't really know how to explain it but there's 4 movies and I think you guys would enjoy it 💓

What matters at the end of the day is good films and being open to watching them. This film doesn't try to push anything, I understand the issues surrounding LGBTQ+. There are negatives and positives, like anything else. This movie is about a person though. Whether you view these current issues as a personal thing or political etc. These communities still have real people. Just as there are crappy people in every community, so are there good people, real people. And there are people who may have nothing to do with any of it, even if they technically identify with the community. Thus movie literally conveys a real person and his struggles. It's a really good movie. You don't have to intertwine it with anything else to recognize that people go through these real life struggles and all that matters is that it focuses on this and focuses on showing a real person just trying to find happiness and acceptance with themselves and hopefully from others. It doesn't have to be political. It doesn't have to be anything more than a real story that's told well with feeling and emotions that everyone can recognize. I understand some new films really feel forced because they don't focus on the story but instead on filling quotas and having the most inclusivity and diversity. These are important and really beautiful to see. But only when done in a way that is still story and quality focused and centered. Otherwise it feels like trying to push an agenda or gives off strong political focus etc and then in turn makes the film seem forced and not natural. The story doesn't flow and these aspects stand out so much that you can't really focus on the other aspects. This is said not only regards to inclusion or diversity but when any filmmaker focuses on filling their film with things they want other people to like and agree with and understand. On a level that feels pushy and forced. So no matter how important these things are if they're not handled correctly it ruins the art. As viewers we are here for a good story and visuals so I understand when a film doesn't come off well because of someone's beliefs or political views being forced into the film. When those specific topics aren't what the movie is about that is. It doesn't feel authentic. Hopefully what I'm saying made sense because it's hard to word it correctly, but my point being that I understand the concern around films with a topic like this one. But you also have to understand that just because it has this topic, doesn't mean it's forcing anything down anyone's throats and it doesn't mean it's focal point is on anything other than a real storyline. And that just because these topics have a lot of issues surrounding them right now doesn't mean real people can't relate to what they are at their core. And there are such amazing stories worth being told from them. Don't judge something before giving it a chance. And we shouldn't bring anything negative, political, controversial, etc. in here or on the guys' channel because that should never be brought in. We are here to enjoy the connection through films and shows and those sorts of topics aren't meant for spaces like this because they are such divisive things. And the guys don't deserve having to feel like they need to broach these topics because of their followers thoughts or feelings because that then puts them in a hard spot. Because we all have differing thoughts and opinions on things. And in a social climate where if you're not in 100% agreeance on all things with someone else then you run the risk of them labeling you a bad person or worse. It shouldn't be that way but it is. So these are not the places for things like this. ESPECIALLY on their patreon which is an even more private and intimate space for their followers. If you don't like the film just scroll past, you don't need to even comment. And if you do, at least keep it polite and friendly. You're here because you support these guys and enjoy the community. Why spoil that?

I think you guys should watch more LGBTQ+ centric movies...seems to really rile up the homophobes lol. But in all seriousness, thank you for being open minded and willing to take in experiences that may not be your own. I would highly recommend the movie "The Normal Heart", it's a wonderful, but heartbreaking look into the AIDS epidemic, and the LGBTQ+ community's activism to spread awareness surrounding the crisis.

Maggie

If this is stemming from homophobia - please get aang out of your profile pic. The air nomads were pro LGBT. ATLA is not for you. If this isn’t stemming from homophobia, then everyone has different tastes dude. The crew liked it

Manny D.

I mean, all three of them gave it a 5 and it has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 92% but sure, go off. Hey Badd Medicine, found the troll.

Jeff K

Definitely felt like an 80s movie. It had that classic 80s or 90s feel to it. This movie had a huge impact on me when it first came out. I saw it maybe 3 times or 4 in theaters, I’m gay and idk what it was about this film in particular that made me so happy I think it was this nostalgic feeling it brought and being able to relate to the story, But I was ecstatic to see you guys react to it. Thank you!

Michael W Randle

I second this. Watch the old movie first tho.

Clorox bleach G

Just finished the reaction and Oak, I cannot echo and emphasize enough how right you are when you say "it's funny the stuff that you remember and the stuff that you regret" when it comes to standing by and not stepping up when someone else is getting bullied. I'm about the same age as you (I'll be 44 in a few months) and I can think of a few instances where I wish I had told my friends to just shut the fuck up, one in particular our freshman year of college when they were giving a gay guy a bit of a hard time in the hall of our dorm. That was 25 years ago and it still haunts me that I didn't speak up, partly because the gay dude was a mutual friend of one of my close friends on my floor and just a really good guy, but mostly because it's just the right fucking thing to do.

Jeff K

let’s go! 🏳️‍🌈❤️
