In 2018, I stopped watching the series at the episode before this one because I was getting too cool for anime in high school, but... wow! This episode was AMAZING. I missed out. 2024-08-12 01:20:26 +0000 UTCI sometimes think it’s due to watching the subbed version, it takes a lot of concentration and stuff is easily missed. Even getting the names wrong and forgetting characters I think is because of that tbh. I know people think sub is superior, personally I’ve watched both and like both. But for some people I think they get more out of it watching the dubbed version. Idk just my take.

Youve literally seen how titan powers (like eren, ymir, reiner, annie etc.) get transfered.. by getting eating by a 'dumb' titan. You have literally seeeen erens dad take eren into the woods to change him into a titan and have him eat him so he can give him the powers eren has now. And yall are still wondering if the beast titan is erens dad?? how???

They will seriously need like 3 or 4 watches of the basement episode to understand everything

It fills in some questions I didn’t even know I would have asked and answers such a minor detail from Erens cadet days about his belt being tampered with. I remember being like “wow, I wasn’t even thinking about this but thank you”. And then the speech Erens mom had, I think it’s really important. He’s special, because he was born in this world🥹. Great reaction guys 💚

2024-07-01 19:36:07 +0000 UTCOne thing I remember that really blew my mind when I first watched this episode was the reveal that Shadis had tampered with Eren's equipment back when Eren had been training as a cadet. It was not so much the reveal itself, but rather the fact that we were in season 3 but getting closure about such a small detail from season 1 episode 3, that impressed me. I was like, "How do you plan THAT far ahead?" 🤯

Loved the kids mother and regretted the last conversation he had with her before she died and wanted to keep her son safe so did what he could in the background to save eren but realised he was special and had to push onward just like harry.
