EARLY ACCESS: Man From U.N.C.L.E. FULL REACTION

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Directed by Guy Ritchie, this action-packed film manages to balance humor, wit, and espionage intrigue. Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) are forced to put aside their differences and team up to stop a criminal organization from obtaining nuclear weapons. The chemistry between Cavill and Hammer is magnetic, providing much of the film's humor and dynamic energy.

One of the film's standout features is its impeccable sense of style. The costumes, set design, and cinematography effortlessly capture the glamour of the 1960s. The attention to detail in recreating the era contributes to the film's overall aesthetic appeal. Alicia Vikander, playing Gaby Teller, adds depth to the dynamic duo, bringing her own set of skills and charm to the mission. The trio's banter and camaraderie create an enjoyable dynamic that keeps the audience engaged.

The action sequences are choreographed with finesse, blending intense fight scenes with clever gadgetry. Ritchie's signature quick-cut style is well-suited to the genre, enhancing the film's pacing and adding a layer of excitement.

The plot, while straightforward, maintains a good balance between suspense and humor. The espionage elements are intricate enough to keep the audience guessing, and the film doesn't shy away from injecting humor into even the tensest situations.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a stylish and entertaining espionage film that successfully combines action, humor, and retro charm. With its stellar cast, captivating visuals, and a well-executed blend of classic and contemporary elements, it stands out as a must-watch for anyone who is a fan of the spy genre.

Thank you guys for watching this movie ! I really love the whole cast and their acting and watched this movie ngl ROUND 3-4 TIMES ALREADY in span of my life. Also thank you guys for giving to us this reaction, I feel like you are so wholesome and I'm just spending time with my kind and cool uncles when I watch your reactions !

ABRIKOS102

The Expanse is an all-timer for me. So so good.

This movie is so underrated. I have always had a soft spot for it. I just loved it so much from the first time I saw it in theaters. Hammer and Cavill have such great camaraderie. Thanks for reacting to it! I hope you guys have Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen series on your future list. It will have Theo James (Four from Divergent and David from Underworld), Kaya Scodelario (Teresa from Maze Runner) and Giancarlo Esposito among its cast. I would love to hear Oak comment on how handsome Theo is some more.

Tina Jo

I do too, she's so talented! I personally loved her as young Laura, the fault is with the movie itself. They took out what made Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider (don't want to spoil it if they ever watch it) and that wasn't her fault. What made it worse is that they very clearly were following the game then decided to change the ending which is what I hated. I don't know why they did what they did but Alicia herself did well. I actually hope she does some more action movies in the future. Yes, I'm a huge fan of Fassbender too! I'm not sure if you saw the movie they did together where they met, but their chemistry was amazing! Wasn't even shocked that they ended up together. If their kid(s) have even 1/4th of their talent, they will be amazing!

Megan

I really hope the Tomb Raider reboot didn’t kill Vikander’s career. She’s terrific, and so charming. Her kids with Fassbender, by the way, are going to be impossibly attractive… hahaha

Thanks guys πŸ™πŸ˜ I think I said this in another comment but I don't know if anybody saw it, but basically: the main story will take you to every region of the map, one at a time. So please don't feel like you have to immediately rush out and explore everything - you'll go there eventually anyway. Also, personally I would recommend waiting before you start *really* exploring the open world. There are some abilities (like fast travel!) that you won't unlock until chapter 2. Chapter 1 is basically the land of tutorials and getting familiar with the gang, so I think it's good to stick to the main story at first. 😊

Verity

A bit of a learning curve. We'll make adjustments. πŸ€™

The Expanse is another great Jared Harris credit if your a fan of his work.

OBBlade

There is just so much CHARISMA in this movie! I watch this movie over and over. This has been one of my favs for a while.

Shirlene Wright

I love UNCLE. It's so hard to rank Guy's movies. Yeah, hard to beat Snatch. But this, on the other hand, is so different. The atmosphere, the banter between the main characters, the cinematorgraphy, costumes... This is stylish AF! ;)

Chris B

Always loved this movie!!! Extra points for being set in the 60s! Another great film (that is SO UNDERRATED) set in the 60s is Legend w/ Tom Hardy. Fantastic performances in that one!

Pleeease watch black mirror!

Faith Maria

I love this movie!! This is why Henry Cavill would have made a great Bond. Lets Go!!!!!

I dont think there's anything wrong with enjoying this movie as much as you did Oak! I love this movie just for what it is. Like u said it definitely has some of the classic cliches you expect in a spy film and the actual plot isn't anything revolutionary but I think it's the performances from Hammer and Cavill that really shine. And Alicia Vikander did great too, I love her, but the relationship and banter between Solo and Kuryakin was the highlight for me. They both just did such a great job so it made it extremely enjoyable to watch. And then u add ontop of that the Guy Richie touch, it makes it a very entertaining and rewatchable movie! So I agree Oak, it's a very fun movie

Myranda

Yessss, I have been waiting for thisss, let’s goo!

Danna Radilla

Guys, *please* check the comments on your RDR2 playthrough - there's a lot of useful tips there πŸ™. It was funny at first, but now it's just frustrating and disappointing watching you guys ignore the mechanics and miss the very obvious markers while blaming/insulting the game for it. πŸ™ I adore RDR2, but this is just painful to watch LOL. An easier alternative could be Ghost of Tsushima, which is also open-world but much smaller and much more linear.

Verity

YES!! I am all over this one!!! I love this movie! Thanks!

Shirlene Wright

One of my favorite Ritchie films. Super underrated. ❀️

LaLa

I love this movie and it is the only Ritchie movie I like. I wish we got a sequel but they waited too long and the stuff that happened with Armie Hammer (Illya) I think permanently ended the possibility. This movie made me a huge fan of Armie (no longer so) and Alicia Vikander. This was my introduction to both and Alicia was outstanding! She stole the movie for me. And I absolutely loved the soundtrack, I downloaded the soundtrack to my iTunes as soon as it was released!

Megan

I'm with you, this is the only movie that I like from him. The others I've watched either against my will (family was watching) or I gave it a whirl because of who is in it (i.e. Jason Statham. I'll watch anything he is in). I just don't get it. But, I'll watch anything with these guys because even stuff I'm not into/know I don't like, they make entertaining to watch along with.

Megan

Are you aware that the review ends mid sentence?

Dasypodidae

Haha πŸ€™πŸ˜‚

Badd Medicine

I know Quinn is a die hard guy Ritchie fan but idk I've never gel'd with his movies, but I'm also down to try new things out with the boys! Set myself up there 🀣
