EARLY ACCESS: WandaVision 1x9 FULL REACTION

A fascinating conclusion indeed and just a bit of slight confusion. This journey has been enjoyable, and it was a delight to catch up on all the subtle details we might have overlooked. Perhaps we'll cross paths with Vision in the future? Our anticipation for Agatha's upcoming show is building, and now, with the latest revelations, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness makes even more sense.

Also, Darcy Lewis, she appears in most of the Thor movies. She was close friends/co-workers with Jane Foster (Thor's love interest)

Part of your confusion is that you're missing context. For example Monica Rambeau. Her mother, Maria Rambeau, was best friends with Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel). She had a pretty prominent part in the Captain Marvel movie and we see Monica as a child. Monica herself will play a big role in "The Marvels" movie. And a little trivia. Monica has gone by a few different superhero names in the comics, but one of them was "Spectrum". And that alludes to part of her powers, when her eyes glow she can see parts of the light spectrum that are normally invisible to the human eye. (Ultraviolet, Infared, X-Ray, etc)

And this is why you guys should have really watched things in order, it makes sooo much more sense watching Dr. Strange after this. I mean, she was the villian in Dr. Strange as you said -- the ending clip is her going full villian to try and find her kids, which leads right in to MoM. What I don't really get is why White Vision didn't show up to help her in MoM.

Another great reaction from you guys and looking forward to you guys catching up on the other shows. WandaVision is my personal favorite of the initial three line up (Loki and Falcon and the Winter Soldier being the other two) as it just hits home a bit more in terms of how we handle loss and grief. It's also just special with the way it handles the various eras of TV shows while adding the clues and crumbs in the first half of the show. Excellent writing and great pacing imo. For me it caused Wanda to jump up the MCU ladder as far as favorite characters go, she's easily in my top 3 now. I'm glad you guys really enjoyed it!

I think some of your confusion with the end of this series might clear up some if you guys rewatch Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. This show leads into that movie and explains why Wanda was the way she was in that movie.

I’m so glad to see so many people enjoy Wandavision and Dr strange MoM, I get the criticisms, but this show is truly something special for tv in general

Back in the MCU movies, Wanda and Pietro appear in "Avengers 2" with Ultron. Hydra explains at the beginning that the twins' powers where due to experiments with the Mind Stone(later used to create Vision). Wanda and Pietro hated Tony Stark because of the drone missile which is why they joined Ultron in that movie... In the 2nd to last episode with Agatha taking her through memory lane, Those memories where she interacted with the Mind Stone were kinda filling in the gaps we didn't get from "Avengers 2" and then after Thanos snap with what happened with Vision's body

The sitcoms from every decade was Wanda projecting her childhood of watching "Dick Van Dyke," "Bewitched," "Malcom in the Middle," "I love Lucy" as kinda what the perfect life is...so when she brought Vision back to life and took over Westview, she saw her fantasy play out through sitcoms. She explained she didn't know what she was doing, it all kinda happened and then she just played along since Vision was there and that made her happy.

Nate Terry

The sitcoms are what Wanda feels is normal family, and that is what she wants a normal husband and family, because she never really had a happy family life. The end she realizes she has been bad, but she still wants her children and the Darkhold is corrupting her. Most Marvel fans know the Darkhold shows up in several different story lines itis showing her she can have her kids from another universe. So, this is an evolving story of the Scarlet Witch. She has now become the scarlet witch and the Darkhold is corrupting her. We see more in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Once Again, a Great rection video I love you guys. :)

Great interpretation 💜

I think this is where the conundrum lies when Dr. Strange 2 came out. Some people were outraged where they took Wanda's character (villain) because they thought it's taking away her character's development in WandaVision. On the other hand, there are some people think that it's actually accurate that she became the villain in Dr. Strange 2 because you see where she was heading here in Wandavision, particularly the ending. Oak is right that there's a morality issue here. Wanda may have taken out the hex finally and let the people go but she didn't get any comeuppance of what she's done. She didn't apologize to the community, she didn't give herself up. She only apologized to Rambeau. She basically got away with mind controlling people for maybe days? weeks? We don't know how long the hex was up, that is some serious crime. And then the fact that she started tinkering with the darkhold at the end credit, it really is no surprise that she became a villain. Overall though, I still love her development nonetheless, because her story is a tragic one, something that people can sympathize with regardless. If you have the power that she does, wouldn't you be tempted to bring back the person you love even for a moment? It's so easy to say no but people can really do some morally ambiguous things particularly when they're grieving.

Great reactions by Mason Quinn and Oak! Maybe one thing that unfortunately got missed ( understandably of course, given the practicalities of doing a reaction channel ) - when BM watched some Marvel shows in reverse order - is that when viewers saw WandaVision in release order, people usually cared about Wanda as one of the good-guys. Some other subscribers mentioned grief in their comments, so I'll say that the following is just my personal interpretation: I interpret the whole series to be a giant visualization and metaphor for Wanda's reaction to extreme psychological pain and distress. After seeing Vision's body, Wanda's subconscious uncontrollably put her into a kind of self-protective mode - she fully immersed herself in her comfort TV shows, and forgot about her pain and loss. Over the next several episodes, Wanda gradually remembers her painful reality. This process was very difficult and confusing for Wanda too, and the viewers are taken along to experience - visually and metaphorically - what that process was like for her. Before the series, Wanda's powers always came from her hands - so in WandaVision when her powers came from her chest ( when this happened, she always appears to be in pain and having little control ), I interpret this red flowing from her chest as representing her uncontrollable emotional pain and parts of her mind doing things to protect her from overwhelming pain ( and since Wanda has superpowers, the whole metaphor can be super huge to include an entire town being recreated ). Unfortunately a lot of other people did become victims of that uncontrolled power though... WandaVision has been my favourite Marvel show ( films included ! ) ! Great reactions by Mason Quinn and Oak ! Marvel went super artistic for this one - I can see how this already unconventional story, in combination with BM watching in reverse order, ended up with unfortunatley some of WandaVision's effect maybe becoming lost. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's storytelling will be much more conventional - though some previous events do get mentioned a lot.

In the MCU they never actually called her the Scarlet Witch until this show; she was always just Wanda Maximoff. When she was introduced in Avengers 2 it was controversial because Marvel were forced to change almost her entire backstory from the comics because Fox still owned the rights to the X-Men. In case you aren't aware, her and Pietro at that time in the comics were believed to be the mutant children of Magneto, but they couldn't use mutants in the MCU back then. Since then the comics have changed to reveal that they actually got their powers from experiments done by The High Evolutionary who just appeared in the latest Guardians film, so their backstory follows along better with the MCU version.

The dark hold is explained in more detail with the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D show. I highly suggest it. It correlates with many movies and shows and explains a lot. I know yall have a busy schedule, but it should be on the list if you have time. Also, the cabin that the Hulk hid in was destroyed in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D in, I believe, season 2, so that was just a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

They recently did a big upheaval w their scheduled releases again - Coven of Chaos has been changed to Darkhold Diaries, and pushed to fall of next year, allegedly.

Loved your reactions! We need to watch Captain Marvel before you watch Secret Invasion.

I recommend watching Dr Strange 2 again, it hits way harder. the post credit was leading to her becoming corrupted by the book leading to that movie

Agatha has a show coming out in the next couple years called Coven of Chaos 👀

these last two eps of WandaVision always gets the waterworks going for me, lol. and yes this led up to Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Since her kids couldn't exist in this world, she instead sought them out in an alt universe. This was also where she 'officially' got the name Scarlet Witch in the MCU, Dr Strange did use it too and Wong, but that was in MoM, so after the show. Also to clarify the commercials in the show. 1st: Stark Toaster symbolized the bomb that destroyed their apartment (The long ticking on the toaster during the commercial), 2nd commercial with the Strucker/Hydra watch, being the one who experimented on her, who belonged to Hydra. 3rd Hydra soap, obviously alluding to Hydra and the tesseract. 4th, Lagos Brand towels to 'clean up the mess' is about Captain America: Civil War, when at the beginning when trying to help CA, she instead ended up accidentally blowing up a building and killing people instead, which was the incident that started that whole thing. 5th was the weird yogurt one, both going to Wanda using magic to survive (the snack for survivors tagline) but also Agatha who feeds on magic. 6th was the Nexus antidepressent commercial, not going to get into that because Loki explains Nexus a little bit more, but Wanda is just an even more special kinda Nexus. I'm so ready to learn more about the Agatha show, because she was originally wanda's mentor/teacher/friend. so maybe some redemption I hope.
