About the separate rooms.... it doesn't mean anything is wrong. That was common among royalty for each monarch to have their own chambers and only share it for martial relations

2024-02-07 00:04:28 +0000 UTCAbout the alliances through marriages, it was way safer to have your offspring be married to the offspring of other important houses because then, you would have a blood relationship between the two families, which is way harder to destroy than just a handshake haha (and even that didn't stop people from betraying one another) Daemon is a really complex character. I do think he cares about Rhaenyra (both as family and as a love interest) but he also has other self-serving plans for himself. But as Viserys said, everyone is ultimately serving themselves at the end of the day. I also loved the theme of perception VS the truth and how Viserys explained to Rhaenyra that it doesn't matter if you did it, only how it is perceived/believed to be true. Really great episode, it is so intriguing to see the characters shaping the story through their decisions. Excited to watch the next one !

I cringed just as much as y'all, but I didn't have anyone to talk about football with 😂 We here at Patreon love y'all back 👍 This story from the book Fire & Blood is super interesting because it's told from an unreliable narrator of a dwarf jester: Mushroom (who might appear next episode haha). So, some stuff could be false or exaggerated. The show has taken some liberties, but is remaining pretty faithful to the text and being objective. As for your question about creating languages for this show: yaaaaaas and it's super interesting behind the scenes! They created the High Valerian language, Dothraki, and so on through runes/characters (like over 300) to represent some words, phrases, etc. Tolkien was obviously the Father/King of this with LOTR starting because of his love of creating languages and each race had their own. Even James Cameron created a language for the AVATAR series - and then Disney as well with Atlantis! Such an awesome world building tool. LOL forbidden love with "non tourney knight" 😆 George R. Martin is a sucker for that romantic trope. Star crossed lovers/ill fated like Romero and Juliet. For instance, Ygritte & Jon from GOT. That's why he has many factions in the Westeros world take a vow of chastity (like Ser Cole in the King's Guard). I'd definitely recommend the YouTube channel Alt Shift X for all Game of Thrones content. He's super versed in the Lore, does live Q&A sessions after the episodes, and breaks down everything from the books in context to the show. Lots of fun stuff with this series and I'm thoroughly enjoying watching y'all react to it! 🤘

Him taking off her "disguise " aka hat, him getting her toasted, taking her to the ho house lol, and then lying to the king and saying they did the deed when technically they just did some heavy petting....HEAVY, HEAVY PETTING 🤣🤣 I don't think he was counting on his "problem" creeping up again and not being able to finish the deed, but I think he totally would've. Hell, he could've even been behind the White Worm (who btw, looks to me to be Miseria, the "common whore" and not the boy) and all that with sending her messenger to Otto. That I'm not so sure of but it did cross my mind. It's likely far fetched and purely Otto's doing but Daemon's involvement in the White Worm part wouldn't surprise me at this point. Despite that, I saw all the rest as Daemon's plan from the moment he arrived..... using Rhaeyra to get closer to the thrown. He didnt need to even go all the way, just the rumor and perception is enough to ruin Rhaenyra's chance of marrying anyone after this. The word will spread and I don't think the Sea Snake will allow his son to marry a "sullied" Princess. So there'll be not only no one for her to wed other than Daemon once word gets out, but also be further reason for others to push for Aegon to be named heir instead. So only Daemon or Otto come out on top after this and I think Daemon knew and knows this and used Rhaenyra to take this chance at the thrown. I love what they're doing with Daemon as a character, the back and forth..... is he the bad guy, misunderstood good guy, a bit of both, or just an evil power hungry prick with charisma. It makes for an intriguing story for sure. This was a great episode! Hard to watch at certain points for sure lolol, but still a really good episode 🤘🏻
