Added 2022-09-02 21:52:36 +0000 UTCAn interesting start of sorts. We aren't sure what to think yet as they are introducing us new characters. But none the less interesting. We are looking forward to where the story takes us. Especially, with this 715 million dollars they have spent just on season 1.

2022-09-03 20:15:59 +0000 UTCSo they only have the rights to lotr and hobbit including the appendices, but they changed the characters one example galadriel swapping roles from Elrond especially since he commands an army during the battle of the last alliance which is in the intro to the fellowship of the ring. That's just an example there are many more like the forbidden romance elves and men didn't just do that it was extremely rare and done with nobility since they have no rights to the first age they made something up, hobbits being in the story they had no importance in the second age and there first recording were in the third age about 500 yrs or so before gollums story I could be wrong about the time. The point is in the lotr they are important because they had no significance to there main issues and is the premise of the first lotr. Galadriel backstop is wrong she should be married at this point. If you enjoy it so be it, but I won't be watching especially from what the cast and showrunners have stated about them making a better story than tolkien.

2022-09-02 22:52:07 +0000 UTCI started watching it this afternoon but had to call it quits I was so disappointed with it, but I then realized my error and after taking a break all afternoon am giving it another go. I somehow ended up with my audio settings on "English [audio description]" so there was a voice over narrator describing everything on screen and it just ruined it. Still don't have high expectations but giving it a chance
