Added 2022-06-11 14:56:58 +0000 UTCHow is your game performing? Recently I've been having minor problems streaming my The Sims 3 live while using Ansel and Reshade filters. High CPU and GPU consumption. Stressing the computer to a level that only I take risks to do, setting my Graphic Rules to exorbitant and exaggerated values.
Well.. When this became a problem and started to bother me with frequent crashes throughout the gameplay I looked back. I started to review a lot and I'm doing tests.
First: I Removed the reshade
Second: I reconfigured the Graphic rules to handle more user-friendly values that would not interfere with the visual
Third: I reconfigured the Nvidia panel to gain more performance and manage Fps more efficiently.
Even after all that, there was still weird CPU consumption going on. So I removed all mods and Boooom! The game is smoother than ever.
Since the beginning of OldSunset I've been doing a sharper categorization of what goes out and what stays. I started the world with lots FULL of Store items and everything you can imagine. And throughout the process I was removing, readjusting and adapting. I was feeling more comfortable and filling it with new mods, new ccs and well, the problem came back xD
Now I've done something risky! I literally kept only my own ccs and even riskier: I MIXED ALL of them. Insane? Perhaps. Functional? Perhaps.
My graphics are more than ever in their origin, and now I can see functional and dysfunctional color palettes that I created based on the vision I had with reshade and ansel filters. Well, I still use ansel filters, at least xD Based on your performance feedback, I'd like to know to what extent you still think it's worth keeping all mods, even lighting ones, to have the best experience on this map. After all, as Uncle Ben said, with great maps comes great responsibilities.
We've already let go of completely open job lots back there, due to action failures and inconsistent behavior by the Sims in their professions. What feedback could you as a player and supporter give me on the current state of affairs at OldSunset? Any small opinion matters. Thanks!
