Okay, so my character is an Aasimar Oath of Devotion Paladin.
MMS
Ooh, shiny.
Trish
Yeah, I know, right? Anyway, my guy never knew his birth parents because he was sent away from his home at birth to save him from being killed.
MMS
Oh, kinda a Moses thing, huh?
Trish
Exactly. Anyway, he was adopted by a human couple and raised by them out in the middle of nowhere, where they taught him their simple and gentle ways.
MMS
And then he became a paladin?
Trish
Right, see, once he got to a certain age and discovered that he was an aasimar, by that point his adopted parents had already raised him to be, like, kind and compassionate and whatever, so he decided to use his heavenly connection to help people. Thus: Oath of Devotion Paladin.
MMS
Oh, that’s a cool idea. I like how that’s all connected.
