Right, so, I’ve given him the automatic rifle from the DMG, but he’s also got the Tavern Brawler feat. His background is Mercenary Veteran.
Tony
Oh, hey, me too! I’m playing an Evocation Wizard with a heavy focus on fire-based spells.
MMS
We love an arsonist. What about you, Nat?
Nat
Oh, I’m a Battle-Smith Artificer. I’ve got the Outlander background — my guy’s from out in the country. And that background gives me a music proficiency, so he plays the guitar!
MMS
Sounds like you guys are building quite the team.
Tony
Hey, is it okay if my guy doesn’t speak Common?
MMS
What, like, not at all?
Tony
Well, I mean, he can understand it but he can’t speak it. Like a kenku.
MMS
Uh, yeah, I guess. Why can’t he speak it?
