So, I’m playing a human Ranger.
MMS
[glares]
Trish
Why are you looking at me like that?
MMS
“Human Ranger” is way too normal for you. What are you up to?
Trish
Maybe I’m not up to anything! Ever considered that maybe, like, it’s a man? Is it so hard to believe that I’m just making a regular D&D character? Don’t you trust me?
MMS
No.
Trish
Anyway, I’ve done a homebrew combination of the Soldier background and the Folk Hero background. He recently survived a huge attack that wiped out a bunch of his friends.
MMS
And now he’s, like, the sole survivor of the group?
Trish
No, actually, there’s a few others, and he’s fighting to keep them safe. He just generally wants to, y’know, accentuate the positive and find happy times.
MMS
…okay…
Trish
He doesn’t have any big plans, that’s not really his personality. He doesn’t want to, like, set the whole world on fire or anything. Just trying to make sure his people live to see one more tomorrow, and trying to find other people to support.
MMS
Find other people to support? How do you mean?
