MMS
Right, sure, classic.
Trish
I’ve got this big complicated backstory for him, too.
MMS
Hm.
Trish
What’s wrong?
MMS
I get tense whenever you say “complicated backstory”. Feels like you’re up to something.
Trish
Don’t be ridiculous.
MMS
Sure. Anyway, what’s this backstory?
Trish
So, my guy was living this normal life in a farming town, when his home was set upon by this mysterious apparition, seemingly out of nowhere.
MMS
Mysterious apparition?
Trish
Yeah. This thing looked like a man, but an impossibly beautiful one – with eyes like brilliant white clouds on a clear day, and a smile like a deadly weapon. Seemed like all he’d come for was his own entertainment.
MMS
Sounds scary.
Trish
Oh, terrifying. The apparition wound up enchanting the women of the town and driving them away, before vanishing mysteriously himself.
MMS
That’s problematic.
