Well I think that Wokeness in itself is rooted in Satanism and the like. Plenty of evidence of that when you look around. That gift shop is not unique. I’m surprised that there wasn’t a dildo section near the colorforms Jesus display. Did they sell weapons encased in glass under the card reader, like rainbow handled switch blades or multicolored brass knuckles? Sounds like a franchise in the works.

Fred Rogers

l am not religious. l believe in the Universe and energy blah blah. I guess you can say Spiritual. However the woke people make my ass itch because theyre always bitching and crying about something. They never take responsibility. On the other hand, l have been around some religious zealots trying to push their way on me too. Since l left religion, l am kinder more happier and l take responsibility for myself. People are people. l stay away from dumb asses as much as possible.

ThinkFirstJackAss

Because their parents are programmed idiots and are too ignorant to want MORE for their children than to be the same.

I WAS RAISED IN SOUTH TEXAS, AND THOSE SHIRTS PISSED ME THE FK OFF! WOKE FKS EVERYTHING UP...FORGET THE SHIRTS, WOKE JUST SUCKS ASS!

Also I bought you the “Protect Trans Kids” mug for Christmas Joey is that ok? I bought you 6 of them…for you and 5 of your friends

Asheville NC is the San Francisco of the East….. today’s kids dream up these make believe problems that really aren’t that serious…. Imagine today’s generation faced with a real emergency… they would fall apart. Kids today are not mentally tough

Robert wilson

This store needs a few exorcisms. Not cool to make fun of Jesus 😢

Jen Anderson

Not trying to be preachy here: The Ten Commandments were never given to us so that we could keep them and be perfect, they were given to show us that we can’t be perfect but points us to the ONE (Jesus) who was perfect in our place, who lived and died for us on the cross. Galatians 3:24 The Law was our school master leading us to Christ that we could be justified by faith. (not works)

Jeff Rose

Live the Lizzo way 🤮🤮🤮

kc1993

Of course anyone who allows fear to control their life is going to end up dealing with mental health problems and other forms of sickness upon your body…. Also can we just understand already that when a church preaches nothing but damnnation onto their people they are not preaching the word of GOD! Jesus was sent to die for our sins so we don’t have to worry about doing all the terrible ritual things they did in the bible to get to heaven, as long as you take RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR SINS and actually work on not falling into the same old habits or say committing that sin and truly want to change in your heart and soul then your already in the throne room sitting next to god! A lot of these people are again rejecting the very thing that created them. It reminds me of the WEF dude that claims god and religion is just “fake news” yet he’s literally trying to play god and trying to be like god! It’s really satanic and anyone who actually knows the truth about satanism knows that the BS “satanic church and what we see in the media” isn’t what that’s about and the true devil worshipers are the very same ones who run our country, own our name brand companies, and they also attend Grammy awards shows and push children to self mutilate in the name of LGBTQ! I’d love to see you do a video response or just a reaction to some of the MAPS (minor attracted persons) or ADLA (adults that like adolescents) because the world has seriously become so gross that I fear for what my daughters future will be if CHILD PREDATORS Are accepted into society, or if a grown biological male thinks it’s okay to come into a women’s change room and expose themselves to other women as well as children, the fact that moms in the UK 🇬🇧 are hosting these baby raves that include a fully stocked bar for parents to get drunk while half naked men dress up as women to strip and show their genitals in front of freaking BABIES!!!!!!!! And what’s gross is the CHILD ABUSING parents are allowing this and forcing their children to attend these shows….

Brandi

There was actually a study done on this. libs were I think twice as likely to have a mental illness. I forget the exact number. And it's also likely to be more severe for them.

taylor cooper

Oh yeah dude. Woke fill almost always have some botched mental state when it comes to my experiences.

Jake Avve.

You didn’t throw a Molotov cocktail into this store? What’s this world coming to?!

joe lynott

We all have issues, but EVERY woke person I know is a hot mess.

Charlie

W.H. Auden wrote that National Socialism was the logical conclusion of Liberalism. That said, I resent all evangelism it rainbows or swassstkas. Live and let live. Breath and let breathe

Matthew James

Joey, did you see the Biltmore Estate during your time in Asheville?

Tamara Abrosimova

I can say I'd been on an interesting path. Trying to keep it short though, had a rough upbringing. I felt some ignorant thoughts of why would God do this to me and so on and how the world in some way but more so just the balance in the universe owed me some how. I turned from God and the church and did grow up in the bay area. I had a lot of hate, anger and other bile pent up and thought more as an authoritarian. It took some time but became very clear that partying, drinking, blacking out, wasting away is what others agendas are. Being that useful idiot and thinking I knew best. There was a video I watched of 100% proof God exists. It hit me hard and got me at least thinking. I've steered away from the lost track and that insecure front of ego jabbing people for their ways. I've had miracles happen that I could not clearly explain and really only feel its brought me closer to God. I'm not perfect but I do know the difference at the points in my life. Now I am happily married, and God is in my life and daily prayers. It makes a huge difference and some may think you're a pussy but honestly it seems they are the fearful ones. God bless you as you bring humor and laughter into my life.

Christopher Goyra

Thank you for this comment, bless you ❤️

Aleksandra Z

oh god... it hurts watching you try to think critically

Leobardo Ramos

You are spot on my friend. I'm a former leftist and atheist. I was raised catholic and I understand what you meant about struggling to be perfect. I'd say I was probably about 9 or 10 and terrified I was going to hell. I started rejecting the church in my teens. It was then I started identifying as atheist and exploring other spiritual options. I also started believing in leftist ideology. Long story short I got my head on straight and I'm a practicing conservative catholic. In hindsight my catechism wasn't the greatest and I was trying to fill a God sized hole with everything under the sun. I'm incredibly happy and at peace these days unlike my rough patch. It's refreshing to hear priests talk about their imperfections during homily. We're all flawed humans trying to do the best we can.

Colin Klang

Things that are enjoyable are not sins. I assume you're referring to things like sex, drinking, gambling ect. When done in the proper context or within moderation then it's not a sin. If you look at the layout of vices and virtues within the Catholic Church you will see that it's primarily avabout reining in destructive elements of human nature ( vices) and turning them into positive outlets ( virtues). So sex within the context of marriage with the primary purpose of procreation ( the churches view of sex) channels lust ( a vice) into a positive outlet that promotes strong families, personal responsibility, accountability ect. It's overall beneficial for society. I encourage you to look into vices, virtues, cardinal sins, mortal sins ect. It will give you a better understanding of the church teaching and why it's that way. Directly from the Bible. God is not wrong.

Colin Klang

Right on point

Steve Lacayo

hehe you're cute Joey. id first of all like to say - Im very grateful for all of the work you do, and I know how difficult it can be to sift through all this ..muck. im happy you're spreading awareness about this; and of course it is a very very very very well known thing to us- mystics and teachers who have been working against this demonic Cabbal thats been working slowly for generations, killing off MY people, creating a whole culture of poison-filled minds and hearts who have LOST ALL TOUCH with the reality of who they are.... or were. half these MFs are fake/ai generated clones. yes I know how that sounds lol thats why ill say it only here😅 but all the rest are actual SOULS TRAPPED in their broken/disconnected vessels/bodies, and you can feel this as soon as you lay your "eyes" on them in a video, or esp in your proximal physical reality😅😅😅😅a lot of souls rn are making the choice, to not wake up to the Most High, the Supreme Architect - because he opens your eyes and abilities rather soon after this, and its a very painful way to live; and a HUGE HONOR AND THE BIGGEST responsibility, which BY THE WAY REAL lightworkers- will never even talk about online. any "lightworker" guru you see online, is very very weak. because once you get certain innate gifts back, you see and YOU are seen as well.you become a v big target for all kinds of attacks, real quick. I have met more amazing (truly who you, here in the west, would call "miraculous"

inessa healey

There's a lot of suicide with the trans community. The woke crowd in general are anxious and lost. They are surrounded by people pushing big pharma propaganda to get them on pills etc. that's why they aim for teens and kids, they're easy to manipulate. Then they bully and cancel adults that don't play along. As for BLM that was another money grab scam that somehow full grown adults fell for. Woke crowd is about 70% angry, ego maniac douchbags. 20% virtue signaling nobodies. 10% gullible people that think if enough people say it it must be true. The satanism and things like that is just them trying to distance themselves from close minded christians and to piss them off

Scгamыу

Get up, come on get down with the wokeness (sickness)

Dustin

Its possible that a person or corporation are potentially buying up both kinds of these inflammatory gift shops and profiting off of the cultural warfare no matter what. I mean its not so much a conspiracy as it is another easy way for American businesspeople to profit, like they always do. I mean from a top-down perspective, we there’s really someone with values okay-ing all this? No, this is just for profit. I hate how they use the tarot cards to almost somehow spiritually replace the Christiany they so reject. The satanism part actually crosses a stupid line. That literally only appeals to anti-theist Americans. Globally, most people still recognize Satan, or some form of Satan as bad. That figure may or may not be called Satan but many religions recognize monstrous figures characterized in evils ways such as through snakes, monsters or otherwise devilish characters. Like really “Satan is cool” is just so dumb and they have no idea how dumb. (Also, I thank them so much for promoting the idea that real Satanism still exists, when it doesn’t really).

orfnqoewfoq

It sure seems that way!

Joseph P Borelli Jr

man you are spot on, all the wokesters I know are all depressed about something and miserable as fook

Steve perry

Great band.

Joseph P Borelli Jr

Imagine buying that book.

Joseph P Borelli Jr

L A, I'm happy you are doing better, and found ways to practice spirituality in other ways. However, saying something "has nothing to do with real spirituality" does sound a bit arrogant. Tarot, specifically, has ties to ancient systems, even Christainity, if you'd look at Visconti deck made in 15th century, you'd find a lot of religious symbolism. No "real" spiritual practices go against each other. Because at the end spirituality teaches us to be kind, respectful, genuine and decent. Not to wage wars between one religion and another. And if this particular practice didn't work for you, doesn't mean it's not spiritual. There are many other practices, or religions. Overall, spirituality is a very broad concept (it has nothing to do with wokeness) and if one or other practice makes someone be better, kinder and deal with life and emotions better, without toxic positivity, then it's something we should celebrate.

vytaka

Tarot has nothing to do with real spirituality. I used to practice it for years and it did nothing for me. I left it alone and never looked back. Doing much better without it.

L A

You are so right. The people who are woke are the ones that are the most lost, have no idea what they are doing with their lives, seek out the most mental health help and are buying crystals and rocks to "raise their vibration" and fix that problem. I do not see Christians struggling like that. They may have some mental health problems but they aren't out here identifying as a bug or using "they" pronouns.

L A

Thank you for the important work that you do my brother.

Steven Jobe

Did I see a book called live the Lizzo way?????? More like live the 10-15 years less way.

How did I not notice your sick shirt until now?!?! They are one of my all time favorite bands!

I've never been afraid of religion/God. I worship the best way i know how. Mix that with the knowledge that I tried to live my best life, I don't think I'll have any regrets.

Mike

I can only speak for UK - and I probably live in woke central for that country. Very many of the "progressive" crowd do talk about mental health, and very many are devout atheists, as if they unwittingly need a replacement faith I think woke/progressive stuff IS a kind of religion or cult for them, and it's a particularly miserable set of beliefs, as many - not all - persuade themselves that the country is full of racists & misogynists: it justifies their moral stand for them So if wokeness is a belief system, it's not one that provides comfort, quite the opposite

Henry McGuinness

That’s exactly what originally kept me from visiting.

Joseph P Borelli Jr

There's Satanism, there's wokeness, and there's spirituality. All very different and have different "effect". Wokeness is mostly toxic positivity. And it causes problems, depression. Spiritual path is a choice. Your example of tarot cards is not exactly right here, as it can be a way for people to look at their problems better, especially if they are lacking connection with themselves. It’s a way to practice spirituality, and at it’s core it teaches traditional values. It just got glossed over by "wokeness". Satanism, well, it’s pretty clear what's that about.

vytaka

I spent some time living near Asheville off and on the last two years. One of the points where I was there was during the height of the Covid madness. At that point, Asheville was a mask-wearing, zombie inferno. People were prepared to call the cops if you walked into a gift shop with no mask as I of course did and I was amazed, appalled at the reaction. People were in a frenzy of cultural righteousness, what I call the Righteousness of Way. So yes there’s lots of amazing artistic activity there. But by and large, the young people are clueless. I have no hope whatsoever that any of them will ever figure anything out as they are so deeply damaged by their educational background and the lack of any sensible values instilled at home.

Steven Jobe

There’s definitely a correlation between the woke left and mental illness… it’s like somewhere along the way to love and acceptance, compassion and understanding… you know, a kind of good spiritual way to approach life, they went absurdly off the rails and never got back on track and now it’s trans hookers and blow.

Robin Johns

My daughter is 19. She’s chill but she’s up on all the lingo of being “woke,” and has to explain things to me. I’m Gen X and trying to learn and I talk to her about my generation. She thinks it would’ve been cool to grow up during that time. I agree there were a lot of firsts: grunge, MySpace, AOL, internet, cell phones, FB and IG, gaming systems started to really kick it up a notch. I couldn’t be a teen and have had social media. I graduated in 1992. Today I was getting the mail on my way home. I see a black teen and a couple Polynesian teens and it looked like they were playing keep away with someone’s backpack. I wanted to stop and ask whoever was being picked on if they needed help, but I was afraid of being labeled a racist if it were the Polynesian kids or the black kid. I did stop and the black kid got the backpack so I assume it was his. If I went to either one of their parents to tell them what was going on, I fear that they’ll say I’m just saying that because they’re POC. If it were white kids I’d say “Hey! What’s going on here?” and have no fears of intervening because the kids in my neighborhood have no respect. They just walk onto peoples’ properties, take our garden rocks and throw them, and they’re loud af but their parents won’t do anything to stop it, and the kids act so entitled one of them called my neighbor’s wife a fat bitch. He’s an elementary schooler! Of course the dad didn’t believe his kid could do something so disrespectful, but he sure as hell did. We all have security cameras. Thanks for letting me rant and vent.

Nurse®™

Autism for example, kids 9 times out of 10 are born with it.

Terry Cooper

Very true, I agree, there is a thin line. Sometimes it can be genetics or acquired and yes, also the way things are taught to us can contribute mental health (incuding religion). Good point about genetics, I didnt think of that :)

Kaye

And a very interesting thought, also there is a thin line between mental illness and wokeness. Wokeness is at times drilled in someone's head, and mental illness could be genetic or in my case accidental for when I was 8, I was hit by a careless driver.

Terry Cooper

I totally agree, I'm all for different beliefs as you say and different points of view. There's 1 line I heard a lot growing up when someone would come to the door, and I have said this too, whatever you're selling I'm not buying.

Terry Cooper

I myself suffer from mental illness as well, but not by choice, I was nearly killed by a careless middle aged woman who hated kids with a dark blue sedan when I was only 8.

Terry Cooper

I dated an atheist and technically she didn't believe in anything. No God, no devil, no higher power at all, but I kinda do tend to agree with the depiction

Terry Cooper

I'm a conservative atheist who strongly believes in traditional values, even if some of them stem from religion—I can see and appreciate some of its merits. I see atheists depicted a lot as being libtard baby-killing child-mutilating Satan-worshipers, but that only really applies to an inconceivably tiny minority; I reject this woke nonsense.

toothless toe

There’s definitely a correlation with the woke crowd and mental illness however I will say folks who are more conservative/center (like myself) tend to share their mental status a lot less. I struggle with a handful of mental illnesses but very very few people in my life know about them. Could be that they are simply more willing to voice their problems/complaints. What’s the opposite of stoic? Lol

Osedax

I'm an Agnostic. I'm a firm believer in letting people believe what they believe in. But, if anyone comes at me with any bullshit about what I do or don't believe in, a line gets drawn. I'd be alright with going through either store and leaving quietly, so long as they weren't trying to sell me any of that.

betyoudidtoo

As a Catholic, I see your point about it being fear based. Its not easy to follow the teaching of Jesus, and this is a struggle for me too at times. The way I see it, the ultimate goal is work towards eternal life, although it sometimes makes me wonder why alot of the things that are enjoyable are wrong. Its part of the faith to trust in God and we are all sinners (thats why there is confession ). In terms off getting into heaven, its upto God to decide. At the end of day, we are all tourists in this world In terms of anxiety/ mental health and wokeness , I think people are searching for voids they cannot fill. Tradition and values have gone out the window ( although yes sometimes bad things happening within this as well). The way I see it, if you don't nurture your spiritual side or at least have your values or morals, the more easier it is to fall for the vices of this world. This novelty shop for example - huge promotion of Satanism but Jesus is mocked and made fun off, ironically there are mental health books next to them. Just my thoughts.

Kaye

My husband and I let his friend move in with us. The man is so lazy and slow. There is no way that he deserves the income I do. I work hard to help support my family. This man does the bare minimum.

Cher Dumas

I wish I could show my cousin this video because you’re right on the money. I had every mental illness you could list, took every medication you could prescribe since childhood. I even attempted suicide after visiting New Orleans, and experienced demonic auditory and visual hallucinations during that time. When I finally turned to God, I was at my wit’s end and couldn’t cope anymore. He saved me and I am now completely healed. I take zero meds and have no symptoms of my previous mental illnesses. It was a 2 year process, compared to 28 years of suffering. My cousin, on the other hand, continues to pursue woke witchcraft and her mental health is as bad as ever. She makes destructive choices and is suffering greatly. You can’t tell me that evil isn’t real, I’ve seen it and felt it personally. God will save anyone who reaches out to him, no one is beyond His redemption.

Anisa Ritchie

A lot of people in the world are atheists and Jesus is just another made up item on a long list of made up religions 🤷 As an ex-christian and now long time atheist myself I don't see your point regarding mental health and Jesus. The examples you showed weren't of any satanists either, not even the satan signs. It's just regular piss-take on what from our point of view is a load of made up crap. I don't think woke people are more prone to anxiety in general, just perhaps more in tune with the concept of mental health and wellness, if for no other reason that the subject itself is part of the woke paraphernalia. But that's just my uninformed opinion from my singular and limited point of view.

Luis Pabón

People attracted to wokeness are people who already feel inferior, whether physically, emotionally, or whatever. They promote an equal outcome environment because they can't compete otherwise. So instead, they want to level the playing field. "Everyone's a winner." "Everyone deserves a living wage." Rather than climb the ladder of success they'd rather chop the ladder to pieces, so everyone's on the same level no matter what. So no, it's not that wokeness causes anxiety. ANXIETY causes WOKENESS. Simply because it's a hell of a lot easier to lower the standard for something than it is to actually work toward it. It's a lot easier to declare "fat people are beautiful" than it is to eat properly and work out.

DMaC

I feel as though there has to be a correlation. This is how I think of it: people were going through a phase of not being comfortable with themselves (like everyone does as a kid). They’re not comfortable in their own skin which is more common than they realize. So instead of having to deal with raw dogging life as their true self where there’s no guarantee they’ll be accepted, they see that anyone that does not drink the Kool-Aid of tranny-ness will be canceled- a huge benefit to these kids because it’s a pass from judgment from not feeling comfortable. The problem with that is that it’s actually not a pass exempting them from judgement, it’s a temporary Band-Aid but with the influence of social media, is encouraged. I have two theories about this. One is that these people are never happy and they never will be because they’re not doing any internal work that would promote inner peace. You can’t deal with a problem by pumping yourself with different hormones and actually expect the problem will be cured. You’ll see transgendered people (MTF) marry other transgender people (FTM). They could’ve done the same thing, saving time and money, if they had stayed the same. Or the now adults who have transitioned and started that process as children are suing the doctors that helped them transition as minors even though their parents signed off on it- they’re never happy. Secondly, I believe that this wave of transgender kids is a mass grooming. I grew up in a rural place. None of us had phones and most of us didn’t have TV or Internet. If I look back, all of the people I grew up with (to my knowledge) are relatively normal people. I like to attest that to the fact that we didn’t have any influence telling us who we should be; we just were. That being said, I think that the transgender movement is being pushed to groom kids to think about sex when they shouldn’t. Because the whole premises of being male or female is, “who am I attracted to?” Realistically, the body parts that make a man or a woman that gender are used for sex. I think it is creepy that it is so encouraged the children pay any mind to something that does not concern them and that they should not be thinking about for years. But think about how many lawmakers are pedophiles. Plus, if you take a group of chronically miserable people, how much more likely are they to be influenced?

Jocelyn Wilkins

Good points. You shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells to convey how you feel about something if you’re coming from a good place. It’s the people who don’t consider one’s intentions when they speak that create this environment for us.

Joseph P Borelli Jr

I had a great time there. Reminded me of Woodstock, NY close to where I grew up.

Joseph P Borelli Jr

I’m also a Christian and was baptized in 2008 and I believe in letting God do the judging. However, I’m bipartisan. I believe in helping the homeless, student loan forgiveness, being kind to animals and people in general. But I also have beliefs that are conservative: I don’t like abortion; cells are alive and once conception happens, I believe it’s a living organism. But I can’t stop people from getting them. I think people should be respectful of others and not force their agenda on people. By doing that, you are essentially trying to take away their freedom of choice of thought. This applies to both the woke people and us older generations.

Nurse®™

There could potentially be a link between woke and anxiety and depression. Some people may feel forced to abide by the new rules of addressing people as he/him, being extra careful with what they say instead of transparent and honest (but not mean, though. We don’t need more hate and fights). Being called a Karen or Chad or whatever because you are angry over a perceived injustice and trying to stick up for yourself, and you’re an older women. That’s essentially ageism. Many Karens have some valid points, like that TikTok guy who was driving too fast and she asked him to slow down and they called her a Karen for it. Her husband ended up dying as a result. I also don’t agree with the MAGA people. Sorry Joey but I don’t. The conspiracy theories are irrational (a fake Biden?) and his outbursts on Twitter were embarrassing as a US citizen. He’s not emotionally stable or mature enough to run this country. If you want a Republican that’s totally fine. But please pick a more “grounded in reality” Republican. I understand people want to be represented for who they are, but please don’t get upset if people make a mistake. I also think social media like IG and Twitter are cesspools of spreading hate, untruths, perfect people all photo shopped. I honestly don’t know the answer

Nurse®™

It’s a good day when Joey B posts 2 videos… On a side note, I’d get a mug that says “coffee and cats”, just get rid of the other two things

Tatyana P

So I think what you are seeing in that shop (I’ve been there a few times and I love Asheville) is what sells! It’s a small business trying to survive post pandemic and they know their audience. In this case young kids or liberal parents who will spend $20 on a mug like that. It’s the heart of personalization marketing / know your audience. Beside wokeness is a religion! It’s an ideology and changes daily so yeah it would be in conflict of traditional Christianity because it’s competing with it for followers. The Satan of wokeness isn’t even the Satan of Christianity they are taking about - it’s more the cross over from the Satantic Temple and their rebranding of Satan for the progressive movement. Good guy Satan who is also misunderstood and cool. They can’t see the correlation that also trans and queer theory is now the new “faith”. Where anyone says their identity is gospel and we all have to accept it or you’ll be shamed and (ironically enough) socially crucified. It’s a reflect of the modern counter culture.

Lady Libidex

That store would give me anxiety. It's the city I live in put into one shop.

Sweet Potato

I used to live in Asheville, There's probably tons of shops like that there. Those mountains though. <3 You're definitely on to something as far as the mental health correlation. As an aside, the devil tarot card doesn't directly celebrate the devil, it represents addictions and toxic attachments. definitely wouldn't want a poster of it on my wall!
