Unholy Arts Version 0.3.26 Communication Teacher Changelog And More
Added 2023-10-13 10:01:06 +0000 UTCGreetings, Candidates! With today's version, the work of cleaning up a variety of bugs that slowly emerged with the increase of complexity in the game's main loop is mostly finished, making up for a more enjoyable and less bumpy experience, to the point that we're ready to jump to version 0.4.0 in the next month.
Additionally, you will find a small new story event featuring both Ate and Valtan, as well as either Padmiri or Sillan depending on the ending you got during the first adventure, a new variation of the Mount Face to Face animation for the Double Dildo-Pussy Penetration continued action and the files for the portraits of the new characters you will meet during the second adventure. There's also been some minor balance work on scene actions, battle demands and conversation offers.
We also have a few things to comment on Patreon and the development goals for the next few versions. You'll find the full changelog further below.
Changes in Patreon
Patreon has been making some changes lately, some of them, huh, perhaps questionable. So here are some comments to surf the wave:
Patreon charges to banks have apparently changed in payment categories, leading to a considerable increase in declines. It's quite possible that your latest payments were declined, leading to you becoming unable to access exclusive content. If that's the case, please give it a look.
Regarding the page re-design, I've found a couple issues: increased obscurity regarding the tier you need to subscribe to to access specific posts, and lost access to tags. Regarding the first one, I'm going to start using markers to refer to subscription tiers ( [T1] , [T2] , [T3] ). You'll find these markers both at the tier descriptions (Goddess Enthusiast and so on), and at the title of exclusive posts, to increase clarity for new supporters of the game. As for tags, it was possible, until the recent update, to use tags both to categorize and find posts of a specific type (changelogs, supporter versions, HD versions of animations), but Patreon has blocked non-creators from using this feature, likely in an effort to force us to switch to the new collections feature. I'm going to start creating and using this new feature, but it should, nonetheless, be mentioned that the fact that they've wasted an opportunity to re-use an already existing feature that many creators had already been using for years to categorize their content is ultimately a disservice to patrons and more work for creators.
Development goals in the next few months
Bad news aside, here's a peek into what's coming for the next months.
Chily Cherry is getting close to finishing the Mount From Behind animation, which T3 patrons will likely be able to see this month, and not much later it'll be implemented into the game.
Starting next month, we'll be advancing to version 0.4.0 (remember, once again, that save compatibility will be broken with earlier versions), and I'll be using the opportunity to improve memory usage and run some tests with more simulated characters in the Passion Temple, which players of the Supporter version will be able to check out, as well as adding two new virginity types and an optional, fun story event that will get triggered only if you manage to get all of the virginities of a given type of all other Candidates during the first month of the game. In order to ease players into coming back to the game, the current quickstart options from the Supporter version will be made available to the Free version, and the Supporter version will get two new Quickstart options.
Immediately after v0.4.0, we'll go right back to the main story, with a couple of story events during the second month before getting into the second adventure. While the general structure of the adventure was already written down a long time ago, we've been carving out little details for months, so I'm naturally excited to finally get to that point!
Changelog
Animations
- Added variation for the Mount Face to Face Animation, for the continued action: Double Dildo-Pussy Penetration.
Other graphical files
- Added full and portrait image files for Nimeresh, Eshir, Sheze and Unending Pain, and full image for Sethra.
- Nimeresh' full image will now be shown at the start of the "The Merchants" story event.
Scrolls
- Added new lore scroll: "Intertribal Communication", granting 100 perception and empathy experience points.
Story Events
- Martial Tutorship: Changed weight from 300 to 1500 to make it easier to get the event while you're Nashillbyir's pupil, changed title from "Martial Tutorship I" to "Martial Tutorship".
- Communication Teacher: New story event, involving Valtan and Maaterasu, and optionally Padmiri or Sillan.
* Requirements: The Gleaming Caverns adventure must have been completed, the third adventure must not have been reached.
* 300 base weight, decreases by 10 per level of friendship and romance Ate has with any other Candidate, increases by 10 per level of sexual tension Ate has towards any other Candidate, down to a minimum of 30.
* If the Gleaming Caverns adventure concluded with ending C, Padmiri will replace Sillan in this event, with some moderately different dialogues and consequences. Detailed at a later section along with potential spoilers.
* Check of ((Player's charisma + Ate's relationship with the player - Valtan's charisma - Ate's relationship with Valtan), where relationship is calculated as (friendship + romance - enmity*2), passing at a value of 0 or higher.
Scene actions
- Draining Roots, Draining Kiss, Energy Draining Kiss (Battle), Energy Draining Kiss (Sex): Draining mechanics now follow these rules: A) Drained values cannot be lower than 0, and B) Drained values cannot be higher than the target's bar current value at the start of the action.
- The following characters are now capable of holding hands without having to read about it first: the player character, Padmiri, Valtan, Artume, Rock, Mesquelles and Sillan.
Generic Conversation Topics
- Rebalance in the desire of a few conversation offers:
* Offer Servitude as Master/as Servant: Increase with sexual tension has been decreased from 5 per level to 2/3 per level; flat increase of 5 per rank of submission/domination preference (Preferences factor); increase per each rank of submission/domination preference * sexual tension level * 3 (Compounding factors).
* Offer intimacy relationship: Flat increase of 2 per rank of romantic preference; increase per rank of romantic preference * romance level * 2.
** These changes mean that, while it's harder to raise desire for some offers, there's potential for more desire if you play different cards right. A character without a preference for submission will not get as excited with the idea of having to serve someone else (duh), but a large preference for submission will provoke even larger desire with someone they lust after.
- Offer Servitude as Servant has had its difficulty increased from -10 to 10.
Battle Results
- When a domination-submission relationship is ended as the result of a combat (whether it is due to liberation challenges, or the "liberate servant" or "steal servant" demands), all items equipped on the liberated character by the ex-dominating character will be removed.
NPC Global AI
- Increased weight for "search scrolls" and "study scroll" missions from 40 and 60, to 100 + (current month * 30), and 400 + (current month * 100), forcing the girls to hit the books for once for a massive success in the Passion Temple literacy campaign.
Quality of Life
- The relationship changes mentioned at the end of each day are now categorized by character, for ease of reading.
- Hovering the cursor over a stat value on a character's emergent screen will display how much exp is required to reach the next level.
Minor tweaks
- Changed the title of a passage choice in the Gleaming Caverns for clarity.
- Changed the formatting of ruined and mindblowing orgasms, to make them more noticeable.
Bug fixes
- Fixed two errors that could screw the conversation AI and get NPCs stuck considering whether intimates or companionship relationships were possible, therefore not letting them advance in their social goals.
- Fixed small error that hadn't completely implemented a previous fix getting rid of issues with the coordination of battle demands and time regulation.
Story Events (spoilers)
- Communication Teacher, choices and consequences.
* Unless specified below, all choices lead to Valtan becoming the tutor of Ate for the standard special relationship duration (3 to 4 days, depending on the negotiations between Candidates).
* "I should leave already" or "Support Padmiri's point of view": Valtan and Ate gain 500 friendship. If Sillan is present, Sillan and Ate gain 250 friendship.
* "Valtan will make a great teacher" (Padmiri is present): Valtan and Ate gain 500 friendship. You and Padmiri gain 75 and 150 friendship with Valtan and Ate, and 75 and 150 domination towards Valtan, respectively.
* "Valtan will make a great teacher" (Sillan is present): Valtan and Ate gain 500 friendship. The player character gains 75 friendship with Valtan and Ate. If Sillan is a simulated character, she gains 250 friendship with Maaterasu and 75 with the player character.
* "I'd be a better teacher": Second check (relationship and charisma) must be passed at a value greater than 0.
** Passed: The player character becomes Ate's tutor, rather than Valtan.
*** If Padmiri is present, the player character gains 350 friendship with Ate and 200 rivalry with Valtan.
*** If Sillan is present, the player character gains 500 friendship with Ate and 500 rivalry with Valtan.
** Failed (Padmiri is present): Valtan and Ate gain 500 friendship. The player character gains 500 rivalry towards Valtan, but Valtan only gains 250 rivalry back.
** Failed (Sillan is present): Valtan and Ate gain 500 friendship. The player character gains 500 rivalry with Valtan.
* This event is meant to change Maaterasu's stat affinities up until a later story event, where they'll be adjusted again. Because this story event will not appear until much later in the game, these affinity changes would permanently screw Ate's stat growths for players who continue playing after the second month in version 0.3.X, so these lines of code are commented out for the time being.
* This event activates a flag that will make Ate more likely to accept tutorship offers from characters with more than 5 charisma than her, with a random factor between 75 and 125 added to the drives factor.
