Well I'm delighted you enjoyed it! It really bodes well for what's to come in the History of Prussia, and I can't wait to tackle all that such a fascinating era has to offer when that time comes! Wilhelm's father was the closest thing to a visionary Germany had ever seen, and his mark on that Empire deserves greater investigation - perhaps some day! ;)

2017-05-19 14:26:15 +0000 UTCExcellent coverage of the methods of Frederick I in constructing a Staaten an empire and more importantly an idea or almost a state of being so fearsome that after WWII the Allies in the Treaty of Paris expunged the state of Prussia from the map of Europe. I look forward to the Bismarck episodes. He's an astonishing figure. What if Wilhelm II had died in his youth but his father lived to old age? Now that is an alternative history I'd love to see you tackle.
