Hello everyone.
I thought I'd break down my plans a bit for the coming year.
Campaign:
I've got a ruleset, great, but its only half done. Like playing Mordheim without linked games, turnip is in my mind only part of the way there.
I've been working away on a supplement to link games and help you tell the story of your ambitious Toff and his hopeless Followers with players fighting over a series of games blending the best of Realm of Chaos and Mordheim together in a turnipy bundle.
The campaign will be set in Sallow, a splattered and disparate city spread over a marshland. We will explore how the city makes its trade producing gunpowder, meet the characters that lurk in the winding alleys and discover why there are so many hermits out on the marsh.
The campaign will feature a large mutation table with some key improvements on the typical formula to make every run through as juicy as it should be. There will also be an injury table which might make you cry, but you'll have to trust me a bit on that one. A selection of Mercenaries will be available as will an awful lot of interesting modeling opportunities.
I've got a quite nice after battle event system structured like a choose your own adventure book, think the Fighting Fantasy series. I'm quite proud of how that's turning out and I think you'll have fun, even as a solo gaming experience.
While the campaign will be an unbalanced and chaotic adventure, I've been working on a scenario pack and a map picking system which i think you will like, should be very useful for more competitive players.
Like the turnip core rules I'm aiming to keep things elegant and flavourful, keep book-keeping to a minimum and the gameplay well paced.
So... lots to do!
