A tidbit about the core. The supercomputer is actually in its own pocket dimension, and the core access is just a connection to it, like you would connect to a server. That makes the core the most secure and safe computer ever, since the universe could implode and the core wouldn't even notice. This supercomputer contain all the data ever gathered by the nihallak during their trillion years of existence. It's huge, and as long as a nihallak can access it, it is possible for him to rebuild the entire nihallak civilization. The core access require a certain amount of energy to activate, so the nihallak can't access it just yet.
