I love the glasses he gave the jackal maid. I should try to remember to put that into the book at some point.

And even if it was from after it was fixed maybe she liked the look and kept em or they didnt wanna advertise his abilities so she kept fake ones on. Could be a few things.

2020-07-05 14:40:39 +0000 UTCI find the glasses interesting themselves and a great commentary on nonhumans. They don't have ear-bows, they just clamp onto the bridge of the nose - pince nez. Makes sense, as her ears are highly mobile and on top of her head. The other alternative would be a band around the back of her head,like goggles, but that probably wouldn't look as nice.

2020-07-05 11:01:56 +0000 UTCPersonally, though it is a trope (aka stereotype), I think that the glasses really work here vs. being an obigitory feature. We haven't really been introduced to her personality in the preview chapters, but maybe Sage has insight we do not yet. I would encourage the author (cough, cough) to build on Sage's interpretation of that maid simply because I love me an intellectual.
