Bucket chain

Bucket chains are important in low tech societies that have to fight a city fire.

This was the first iteration of the cover for Binding Words 5: Flame of War.

The final cover is a bit more impactful I think, and will be seen soon-ish.

Eric Hontz

Can't wait for the book!!

malcolm white

Ouch....depressing. Who’s ass is going to get kicked?

Kevin Clark

Well ... darn ...

Kevin McKinney

From Junes blog post, "I hope for it to be released on July 27th if not sooner."

hill44

definitely the bathhouse though, and thats sad considering its still just barely opened up where the chapters are currently at

Darwin Baide

is the book coming out soon? i dont remember hearing a release date but this cover is making me think its sooner rather than later

Darwin Baide

Ohhh no they didn’t 😩

Dante

Pretty sure it's the bath house.

Matthew Paulin

Also, Isn't a bath house already full of water?

Matthew Paulin

Think he will be seen putting out the fire of one of his bath houses without a bucket chain, or even buckets. He’s just going to get pissed, and summon enough water all at once to douse the house.

Jeff Ford

My first thought is.. will there be new life bonds now our will he not be able to bring them back.. I bet someone that’s not supposed to will see him bring someone back...

DB

They can try. You will see.

Dame

I’m liking the art work

Michael Jackson

Oh boy... Here we go. Can't water benders...um.. I mean shapers just do their thing and put it out?

Matthew Paulin

If you look at the sign it looks like the forged bonds sign from the last cover

CHoobler

Looks like the bathhouse

Wolfos

The sign looks suspiciously like the forged bonds sign off the cover of book 4.

Craig Mather

Yeah, and looking again I recognized that the side-stairs fits the standard of the ground-level store and second-level house that has been described, I just saw the houses smaller in my head, I guess.

Taefox

I do not believe the windows match up with the prior images of the Oaken Glen

J B

Great bit of art. Can't wait for the book now. Gotta know what happened

Matthew Malkin

I recognize that building and this does not spark joy Daniel.

Eric Hontz

That looks amazing. Also, now we must wonder what exactly is burning. Considering the size and shape of the building I'm thinking it might be the Oaken Glenn.
