Some (bad) news about Sebastien, the toy

I feel like I should state about what's happening with the promised Awtter adult toy, it has been quite an adventure for a few months already and things are not going well.

Back then when I announced it, I had everything in place. At least I thought.

Quotes for the production were made, prototype was paid and on the way, delays were established, everything was going amazing. Only problem was that some required specifications were missing on the quotes and I ended up with a very expensive piece of silicone which wasnt fully what I wanted. And the troubles begun.

They've been avoiding a lot of questions I asked, kinda forced me to do my own pushed researches in a domain that is not mine at all, and such.
After receiving the prototype I started forcing the specifications I wanted and asked them on the quotes, and flaws started to appear : Prices raised out of nowhere (by a lot), exact material wasn't available (the asked ME to find the material wtf, and this material was already specified in my emails since the very beginning !), getting answers to my emails became way harder and more waiting time.

A few days ago, I finally got news from them (after 2 weeks of them being unresponsive, they didn't even bother apologizing about it and answered that they were waiting for me on something they've never mentioned before). So I got sick of it, I'm done with them.

Problem is, I still want to do it. So now I'm looking for other ways / companies, which is kind of a problem when what you want to make is expensive, complicated for industries who are not usually doing "art" kind of products, "mature" and "animal related".
So ETAs are clearly off the table now, I'll do my best to keep the project living and progressing even if I end up having to mold them myself.

It's kinda being like this for any merch project I've tried to push out this year. Things are extremely complicated when you're a very tiny structure looking for quality things to be made in small (and a bit unpredictable) quantities. Tiny manufacturers are hard to find, very expensive and sometimes complicated to deal with and big ones have no real interest of my small-sized projects. It's sad because I'm putting a lot of efforts on them, time that I could have used to make VR content instead. I still have the dream of having a real life Awtter shop with high quality product and I wont let it go.
