"Thanks!" for an amazing year + one shot adventure!

Dear Patreons,

I was reminded by Patreon that this week it was one year ago that I signed up on Patreon to build a community - it seems to be only a couple of weeks ago, time really is flying. Every day when I go online to check out your messages, emails, github comments.... I am more and more astonished, grateful and happy about all the support I received in the past from you. Support not only in pure cash, but even better in form of kind words, encouragement, and your own time by providing code fixes or helping others out on the Discord. You are amazing.

So here is a shout-out for the members that go up and beyond (in no particular order and by no means in all completeness): MrPrimate, Buddy, venom986, mtvr and ohporter, for adding functionality to the tools on a regular basis, Aeristoka, cojo and the incredible Confuddled that are constantly helping out new users on the Discord to get started. Tim, my first patreon ever - I ran to my wife and said to her: "Hey, look at that, someone is believing in this stuff I do!". An amazing feeling indeed. Looking at the numbers now I sometimes feel even guilty, and ashamed for the amount of success in these rough times. Can't help it.

Especially when I am currently on parental leave, as many/ some of you might now, and my time is super limited to get stuff done.  This is an exciting time for our little family. Both my wife and my daughter are well and while I try to be productive, it is still hard to find some uninterrupted, focused hours to actually work on some needed features and fixes right now.

To still provide something of value, I started to work on a collaboration with Michael Ghelfi which has been planned since months ago: A one-shot adventure for Foundry VTT which I could work on for half an hour before changing diapers (don't worry: not mine) and get back without losing my train of thought necessary to develop more complicated features (and vtta-dndbeyond really is a beast, codewise). I managed to use a drawn map from months ago with a story idea and developed it into a wonderful and really twisted horror adventure for you to (hopefully) enjoy. Disclaimer: I haven't played it yet, so the level range might be super off or rather fitting - I don't know for sure :P It might be rough on the edges, too - looking for feedback to improve it, too, just hit me up!

Michael provided amazingly fitting ambient sounds for it and I added some advanced coding into the adventure like automated transitions of player tokens between floors, macro'ed and automated lighting effects and some other gimmicks (note: Foundry VTT 0.7.1 is needed for some of the features since I wanted to look at the light improvements there). No other mods are required to enjoy this adventure.

The best thing is: It sparked interest in the creator community on Patreon. Map artists, other composers, item and monster designers and writers are currently coming together or are making plans to add additional one-shot adventures to this world. In due time, this asset will grew into a nice collection of adventures which can be used to fill gaps in your campaign or can be enjoyed on your own - and on the same time you might discover creator's who create content you find interesting. This development is super great and I am looking forward to see what's in store for all of us in the future.

I will create an additional post for Patreons only containing the download details of the world containing the adventure and some additional instructions. This post will then be updated when new content is added to it, too.

Thanks again, stay lovely!

Sebastian
