Added 2025-12-12 15:59:05 +0000 UTCBeen chewing around this idea, let me know if it's a hit or a miss:
Marcus Hale, a 35-year-old everyman from a dead-end town, has spent his adult life scraping by—overqualified for the jobs he can get, underpaid for the ones he has, and perpetually one unexpected bill away from disaster.
Exhausted by years of disappointment and financial ruin, he spends his last savings on a solitary, high-risk BASE jump from a forbidden bridge, seeking, for one brief moment, to feel truly alive.
The second-hand parachute fails; the fall ends everything.
He awakens as Raven, a 12 year-old shota living as a street urchin in the streets of a fantasy kingdom. Desperate to fulfill his previous life's ambition and not starve himself in this world too, he decides to become an adventurer, grow stronger, and eventually defeat the Demon King, claiming eternal glory and wealth.
There's only one problem. The Demon King has long been defeated. The previous generation of heroes have all returned to the world they've been summoned from. And the kingdom is now facing an unprecendeted period of peace and prosperity. No wars. No great evils. Nothing big left to fight.
Raven stared at the sword in his hand, finding no foe to point it to.
'Fine. I'll drag the Demon King back from hell myself... and end him properly this time.'
All the while, Raven won't only be fending off monsters and everything that comes his way, but also women who don't give a single fuck about age gap and consent.
Shit.
He just wants to be left alone to chase his glory.
In a world that no longer needs heroes, Raven's biggest fight may not be against a demon...
