Off The Records: Dyn-O-Mite by Jimmy Walker with guest Fred Stoller

Fred joins B-$ and the O'Conman again to listen to Jimmy Walker's Dyn-O-Mite album. Fred tells us how Jimmy Walker influenced Fred to start doing stand up and about starting comedy in the 70's. We get way off topic a lot in the episode and talk about other comedians (shhh). This is another gold standard episode of OTR. Enjoy!

First met JJ Walker while I was working at Wal Mart in 2007. Another cart pusher asked if I knew who he was and then pointed him out walking to his car, said he came there all the time. Sure enough he was back soon. The other dude and myself yelled asking if we could get autographs. He waved his hand dismissively and got in his car lol. Couple years later after turning 21, another buddy and I went to a comedy show at the Tropicana that JJ was hosting. My buddy got us kicked out within 5 minutes of the openers set. On our way out, JJ was on his break smoking right outside the venue. I told him I asked him for an autograph a couple years ago and he wouldn't give me one. He said no way would he do that. I said "didn't you used to shop at Wal-Mart on Trop and Ft. Apache all the time? He realized I wasn't making it up and left and came back with a signed headshot that said "sorry about that!" Eventually I was living in my car and had that on the dashboard where you could see it through the windshield. When I finally moved indoors again one of the crackhead roommates stole it out of my car. Dy-no-mite!
