So I got something really, really cool today, that just pleased me to no end, for a project that's been so long in the "unpublished project gallery" that you might have throught it was dead. I'll be sending out a post about it to my 10$ patrons tomorrow some time.
Anyhow...
Coronart day 12: Flight. Stay home, make art, support artists, join #coronart
What's your local art store? Today I'd like to give a shout out to all the local art stores out there, and hear what's your favourite one.
Here in Bergen we have two art stores to speak of, Malepaletten and Hobbykjelleren, both of which are great. My art colleague and Isotop buddy Torje Sæbø is a great resource of knowledge and expertice to have at Hobbykjelleren, and the good people of Malepaletten have helped me through all sorts of trials and tribulations trying to find my way around equipment and techniques I'm learning.
During the corona lockdown Maia, the owner of Malepaletten, has been alone at work, managing the store and packaging art supplies, then driving them out to customers after the store closes. I called her up to order some things yesterday, and she unfortunately said that she didn't know if she would manage to get me on her route today. Disappointed, yes, but it's understandable. Then... A few hours later, she called me up and informed me that she had rerouted her tour, just for me, and today I got a whole bunch of art supplies delivered at the door! Because of people like her, the art can continue! Thank you!
