Happy Yellow Day!

In fact, I got so excited that I forgot I have made a keyword list for #coronart and just painted this lovely dragon spirit. And... lucky me, totally by accident, the word of the day (Which I had unthinkingly chosen a few days ago, and still had absolutely no idea about) was... Spirited! That's pretty much as perfect as it gets. Have a spirited birthday, Karina!

Today I'd like to give a shout out to an artist I don't know personally, and have never met. My own art is often described as dark, and emotional, and even painful. But if there's one artist I've come across the last few years that embodies all those aspects of art, it's Stanislav Krawczyk, AKA Stan Darkart. If you want his life story, which is very painful, you should listen the Dark Art Society podcast episode with him on. It's a hard and interesting listen. But there's nothing in his life story that isn't expressed a thousand times harder and more eloquently in just the nature of his linework. It is pain an beauty incarnate, and it inspires me deeply and darkly to reach towards the light.
