2025-07-24 20:22:14 +0000 UTCthe iron dome funding is functionally offensive spending imo, both because israel can divert those resources to weapons and because the iron dome essentially allows israel to act with impunity in the region knowing that their neighbors do not have the capabilities to strike them back. i highly doubt they would feel so emboldened to be continually bombing lebanon, syria, yemen, and iran at once if they thought they would face any sort of proportional repercussions for their actions.
