2025-04-05 14:28:30 +0000 UTCThe Louisiana detention centers that students are being sent to are in the 5th circuit appellate court which is historically very conservative and hostile to immigrants. The government is trying to judge shop and intentionally making it harder to appeal by taking the people they black-bagged across the county. Being physically separated from their support network and legal council is an added perk.

In the matter of Goldberg, some of the talk I've heard is that, if you believe you have been exposed to information that is a matter of national security. You are required by law to remove yourself from the situation and then report what you've learned. Don't actually know if that's true.
