Holiday Pregame Part V

WE ARE BACK WITH ANOTHER CERTIFIED HITO ORIGINAL.

For the 5th installment of holiday pregame, the boys run through the biggest issues that are most likely to come up at the Thanksgiving table. They hit the big three issues that voters cared about this election: the economy, inflation, and immigration, with some news peppered in.

I say let the Bible be taught in schools. Let the teachers teach the Bible how they want. They aren’t going to teach it like a preacher it’s going to be taught in a way that I think would totally bite them in the ass. These kids will start to see how fucking ridiculous the damn book is. Ain’t no way kids are going to see that as a “historical text” once the stories start being taught.

Our coalition government just crashed because the neoliberal finance minister didn't want to let go of our debt cap to fund infrastructure and education investment even though everything is literally falling apart🤦🏽‍♀️ dumb politicians really are the same in every country

From the outside, Brexit looks like a warning for Americans. The UK restricted essential workers—farmers, healthcare staff, and truck drivers—and paid the price with labor shortages, skyrocketing prices, and crippled industries. It’s a delicate balance: Americans don’t want to do jobs like farming, housekeeping, or janitorial work, yet these roles are crucial. Now, “Tariff Tyrant Trump” wants to block workers who fill these gaps and slap on tariffs, which are just taxes by another name. Brexit showed us that tariffs hurt consumers by raising prices and causing retaliatory trade wars. Instead of repeating these mistakes, America should support essential labor, reject tariffs, and invest in future industries like semiconductors and green tech.

Yes, the A is the Scarlet Letter, it stands for “Adulteress” it’s basically a story about a woman who gets pregnant out of wedlock in Puritan times and is forced to wear an A on herself (Easy A with Emma Stone is the modern day retelling)

Everytime the dems turn their noses up at their trans constituents and refuse to comment on blatantly disgusting shit, they sign off on the anti-trans rhetoric. Full stop. As a trans person, very frustrated by McBride's extremely milktoast response to blatant harassment against her and her community. Especially on behalf of all the trans people (not congress people!) who work on capital hill every day that will be harmed by this rule. (also side note, the bathroom bills never went away. Human rights orgs are tracking 600+ anti LGBTQ+ legislation across the country most of which originated in the last 2-4 years. Mainstream just stopped talking about it.)
