The men gather to discuss more developments in Israel and at home, chat with special guest Maggie George from MIRS News about the protests against Mayor Pete’s visit to MSU, talk about George Santos’s unjust expulsion from Congress, rant about the GOP selling out American workers, and end with coverage of the Pentagon failing the audit they set the parameters for.

As a Norwegian I can shed some light on the Nobel Peace Prize. The committee who decides, amongst others retired politicians from all of our biggest parties. The people who nominate canditates, are the Members of Parliament… so… By the way, when Obama won, the leader of the committee was a former PM. I still speculate that he got it because that guy wanted to meet him. So: yes it’s superfake. Just a neat part of Norwegian branding. «Peace nation» when you don’t look at our oil, gas, or weapons export.

2023-12-05 16:28:54 +0000 UTCMy university a few years ago capped the number of classes adjuncts could teach because they didn’t want to pay for benefits. Many adjuncts teach a stupid number of classes at several schools just to make ends meet and never have job security or benefits. My full-time pay is also not a livable wage.

2023-12-04 18:42:49 +0000 UTCI work at a land grant university and used to work with graduate assistantships. Our department worked hard to keep all TAs/RAs just under the number of hours to qualify as a full-time employee so that they only had the benefits of part-timers. When supervising faculty tried to make the students work more than the allowed hours in their contract it became a liability to the university.
