Strumming Patterns | 04: Swing vs. Straight

Comments

Sounds so relaxed with the swing

Erdna Seyer

Good explanation. BTW ....is that a clarinet in the wild (window sitting )? I hear Benny Goodman "swinging"!

Ben Poe

I'm not sure I've heard enough early Bob Dylan to give you a definitive answer!

Great illustration of the difference between swing and straight rhythm! Inventive use of voice counting, too! Give me that old time swing any day! I like the tiredness and weariness of it. Could it be that, say, Bob Dylan has swung all his early music now?
