Hi everyone, here's a preview of all the new stuff you'll be getting next month, plus a roadmap of what you can expect in the near future!

March New Releases

Next month we're continuing with the release of the Ratmen and Blessed Sisters, plus we've got the Ratmen Got Titan legend for you. Then we've also got some more Lust Daemons terrain coming, as well as re-releasing the FTL Empire fleet.

For 2D print we'll have the Saurians Set #3 for you, as well as the Jackals Set #4, plus the re-released FTL Empire Fleet. On the gaming side we're going to be releasing 8 missions for all games, as well as 2 new factions for Grimdark Future: FTL, and we'll keep working on our skirmish adventure game AoF: Quest.

3D Print Rewards (2 legend + 37 models + 1 terrain + 88 bases + 18 game aids):

2D Print Rewards:

Games Rewards:

The above is only the new stuff that's being added next month, so you're also getting a ton of other welcome pack minis, 50% discount code, games, and much more!

Project Roadmap

The Ratmen's final month is coming soon, and we've saved some of the biggest models for last, including the giant ferret riding Beast Captain and the long awaited Storm Ogres. The Ratmen have been an extremely enjoyable faction for our team to make and we've been very happy with how well you've received them.

For the Blessed Sisters, we're bringing in the heavy equipment, like the Battle Tank and the Exo-Suit Sisters, and more, before it is time to release the next Sci-Fi army in June.

Last month we ran a patrons-only survey to pick our new fantasy army, and we've decided to go with the Human Empire next!

The Human Empire is a classic fantasy army with an OPR spin, with the faction focusing around 5 elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Aether.

At the height of the havoc wars, the empire was saved by powerful wizards, which are now an integral part of the empire's society. Their elements will be reflected in all the units, with special symbols and ornaments to represent them. You can also expect the faction to have lots of infantry, cavalry, cannons, wagons and mythical creatures.

Here's a roadmap for the next few months:

That's it for now, happy wargaming!

when you start the empire, could you provide plenty of head options, so we can give the troops a more eclectic mix please, felt hats with/without feathers aswell as different types of helmets etc?

neil greenwood

This has been the best past few months of my STL life. I love both rats and sisters. I have not printed any yet, but that fox is DEFINITELY on my list of the near future. Big ol' fox to throw at my enemies sounds glorious to me.

Ryan Snyder

Elven Jesters would be cool for the Sci-Fi army also relatively quick to do since they don't have a big range not an issue in my opinion

Luke thegamingkiwi

Absolutely. Impossible for any creator to give everyone what they want. Ratmen have grown on me a little, but still not an army I will print and play with. Its no big deal, I can always take a break for few months until the next fantasy army. Plenty of other creators to fill the gap in the meant time. But I'll definitely be back, OPR is one of the best value Patreons out there.

Mike

Different strokes, .etc. Ratmen have been the least interesting faction for me thus far for example. More to the point, I dig tons of human armies with a smattering of fantasy races than every race having a universal army that represents the race.

I get he means; although the empire faction is a breath of fresh air from my standpoint, it feels like the new armies are lacking a lot of the soul that earlier releases had. I wonder if something changed on the design front?

Counter point: battle sisters and ratmen look pretty generic and lack a lot of soul. I hope the empire army gets more flair.

@Erik Waring - You seem to be operating under the misconception that OPR is your servant rather than a company producing a product you either find valuable or not. To paraphrase Howard Roark from The Fountainhead: "I don't sculpt in order to have clients. I have clients in order to sculpt."

William Douglas Pridgen

Yeah I've been stock piling stls, and I am looking forward to printing all the armies, and it's nice having everything, when trying too get people into the hobby. I not so recently bought every 3rd ED 40k codexes and rule book. 10th ED isn't looking promising. Plus OPR stuff is very easy to understand, and I've been trying to get people into the hobby by having them buy tabletop simulator so they can test play all the armies, then I'll print out the army they want.

Eric Steele

If you don't like the product provided, unsub. Preferably without further posts telling people you're leaving.

Leaf

That $10 tag is part of what keeps us in - even if a given army is not useful to either of us, odds are good that we can dangle the army in front of a new player - bribery works wonders for getting folks into a new game. :) (One new player has pet rats. The fact that the ratmen DON'T look like skaven is a selling point. She is aiming at adorable, not plague ridden.)

Dennis O'Brien

If you werent interested in that Army you could have left.... they litterally give you a 3 month roadmap. Chill dude. I think the ratmen look awesome as well as the BS. (ps. I voted for Human Empire). No one is holding a gun to your head to spend 10 bucks my guy lol.

Paul Seghers

Just leave, join when they have something your interested in and vote with your money like everyone else. I happen to agree that I was not into BS and not into another plain human faction but that's ok I'll keep what I've got so far in MMF and rejoin when they have something I'm into if that's a month or 6. Lots of cool models being sculpted out there.

no, they just dont listen to *your* feedback after they *did* make a command decision on the sisters and you werent happy with it.

sully

Y I K E S what a childish, entitled attitude. For what it's worth the poll was to gauge community interest, then they make a decision. What people don't seem to get is that outside the poll your feedback is not being requested.

Lunar Havoc

And patron polls are a collasally stupid way to make decisions. Unless you get over 50% response for a single option you have only guaranteed that over 1/2 the patreons wont get what they wanted. Just make a command decision and then listen to feedback., something else this patreon doesn't do.

Erik Waring

Wow Human Empire. So exciting. Like we dont already have that covered with Duchies of Vinci... after 6 months of disappointing BS. That new sci fi army better be AMAZING because Im not sticking around just for Human Empires the way I stayed for ratmen even though BS have been bitterly disappointing in my opinion. This patreon is slipping and might not be a must have much longer.

Erik Waring

It's about time for the Orks to come in I think!

Gatchaman

I feel like they will be since it looks like the reused the assets for Starhost, and I can see it happening again

Captain Karnage

I'd want to see them just not right after the fantasy release, there needs to be some time in between armies with that similar ascetic

Captain Karnage

Oh! He'll ya I'm new to you member ship finally Dragin trappers convinced me to add you to my list haha

Justin Hudechek

I hope not, I personally couldn't get into the saurian starhost as they were too similar to the saurians. I'd rather have them whip up something completely new or different. Keep it fresh.

Bastiaan

Space Rats next?

Scrimlore

IIRC the Captain will be riding a ferret - it gets a mention in the roadmap

Elsimian

Do not worry! The ferret is still coming.

onepagerules

I'm sad the ferret mount was turned into a fox mustelids get no love in this hobby :(

Justin Hudechek

Looking forward to the Ratmen, as they draw to a close...for now, it might give me a chance to catch up on painting them. While I to am disappointed with humans, just not into them, the concept looks like many are please with the direction for the future.

Untamedgeek

Can we please get some Mideast or Persian themed humans? Europe and Japan have been done by many sources . Would be nice to see a change

Tam

Oi, duh (to myself). I knew that, lol. I guess I didn’t think about that because I wasn’t a patron at the time they did bugs. I missed Jackals by a month. Maybe Infected Colonies or Rebels?🤔 If love to see their take on Space Rats also, since Mantic Veer-Myn are pretty much the only game in town for them.

Drew Houser

They did bugs. Lookup "Alien Hives" on MMF. Tons of Orks out there already. I'd be up for Space rats and they would be easier since they have the base designs already. (Like they did Starhost) Since the Fantasy is a general other game faction. Maybe Future would be an OPR specific army?

Nathan Gerardy

There are pics inside the ZIP.

onepagerules

All jetpack sisters have the option for full mask or uncovered eyes.

onepagerules

Can you please include the pics in a folder of the download on MMF for the models? I keep a local copy of all my STL's and it would be so nice not to have to download all the pics as well and put them in the zip. Thanks!

Greg Sargent

Interested to see the options for the new sci-fi army! Orks? Bugs? Some flavor of Battle Brothers or HDF? SPACE RATS!?!

Drew Houser

This is the best ratmen month so far. Finally getting to the big stuff!

Antoni Walker

Can we get some assault sister variants that remove the face masks?

The fact that the catapult wasn't called Ratapult is disappointing

Gink CS

I'm pretty disappointed humans will be next up personally. Of all the fantasy armies, they hold the least interest for me. But happy for everyone looking forward to them. I'm not into the ratmen either, but the Sisters have kept me subscribed, hopefully same with the new sci-fi army.

Mike

I love that the Sisters tanks also work for the Ratmen

Stephan Schany

thats a really bigg ratboy

Quinton R.

Keep up the amazing work, and keep having fun. It shows in the character of the models

T G

Love the Roadmap. This is very helpful. I do however echo Andrew Parson's comment above. It would be awesome to have and OPR generated "checklist" of available files for each faction. Good call sir.
