GF:FTL - Early Access Available

This month we're really excited to release the brand new conversion of FTL to the Grimdark Future universe, which includes an overhaul of the FTL rules.

Whilst overall the game is staying the same, we are adjusting some of the core mechanics, to make the game more enjoyable. Here are the core changes:

Upgrades and Squadrons are destroyed after taking 2 damage now
All damage values have been adapted to reflect that
Suggested game size has been raised to 450pts
Anti-Ship/Squadron can now target Squadrons/Ships, but only hit on 6+
Broadside weapons may always be fired from both side facings at once
Twin-Fire now allows you to shoot at two different targets at once
Added a new Boarding Pod and Sniper mechanics
Tweaked core weapons and upgrades to reflect these changes

The biggest change here is that all upgrades and squadrons are now killed 33% faster, and the game size has been expanded by 33% to balance that.

We found that in the old FTL rules, there were very few ships on the table that barely got killed, which made games feel a little stale. Now players have more ships at their disposal, which are destroyed faster, making the whole game more dynamic.

On top of these core rules changes, we have the faction book changes. All of the old armies are gone, and we've got 16 new Grimdark Future armies coming to FTL. This month we're releasing the Alien Hives and Battle Brothers, and every month we'll be adding 2 more armies to the roster for you to try out.

Make sure to download the missions before the end of the month, as they aren’t sent out via WGV/DTRPG, and are not stored anywhere for future access.

Only-Games - New Models Available

We've just uploaded the Saurians and Jackals models from the May release on our Only-Games store, so if you don't have a 3D printer you can get them too. :)

2D Print - Beastmen #5 + Robot Legions #1 + Beastmen Terrain

This month we've released some new paper miniature packs for you to enjoy, with the Beastmen Set #5 and the Robot Legions Set #1. We've also released the Beastmen Terrain, which will stay on Patreon for the next couple of months.

These sets feature a ton of minis with front and back views in two different color schemes, as well as black & white. They also include black border versions of the minis, plus VTT tokens to play online.

Make sure to download the PSDs before the end of the month, as they aren’t sent out via WGV/DTRPG, and are not stored anywhere for future access.

3D Print - Release Completed, New Previews, Expanded Release

The Ammut Titan, Bases and Game Aids have all been uploaded to MMF, and should be available as part of the July group now. Apologies for the delay!

At the top of this post you can see previews of some of the models that will be released in August, with the Change Daemons Warriors, the Starhost Gecko Psychic, the War Daemons Ascended Harbinger and Soul Daemons, the Jackal Long Neck Beast, plus some new War Daemons terrain.

Now, let's talk about our expanded release.

Currently we are releasing 3 armies plus 3 terrain sets per month, which is not normal, and is only because we have a backlog to complete. This is an exception, and will only last until the backlog has been completed. Once the backlog has been completed, we will be going back to releasing only 2 sets per month.

In order to avoid misunderstandings, we are going to repeat this information at the start of every month, just so that people don't get wrong ideas about our plans. :)
