Hey guys, I'm recording the sound effects now and it's SO exciting to finally see the whole thing coming together. <3 However there is a big pain in the ass that I'm dealing with this week. Twitch announced that they will be deleting all saved videos on the 19th of April!... I was hoping that Twitch would walk back on this stupid decision, but I guess they like money too much and don't care about their community...
So I've been scrambling to save my data, I even had to buy a new 8tb hard drive, since I realized I didn't have nearly enough space... So I'm running around visiting my parents to download stuff from their home too, since my connection just doesn't cut it in terms of speed compared to theirs, and I gotta download more than 300 videos and I'm at around 130 downloaded now.
Mind you, this is not a huge deal... I'm still able to work to finish the parody (editing the sounds, putting the remaining Easter eggs etc...) but it's still an annoyance that is wasting my time, distracting me and slowing me down. I have to make sure it successfully downloads each file, double check the check-list so i don't skip anything, go to my parents to download more from their house otherwise I'm not gonna be able to make it in time. And to top it all, you can't mass download everything because Twitch doesn't allow you to export more than 3 videos at the same time! You have to make sure to queue up the next download once one is done, and proceed.
I should be able to save everything in time and be done with this and I'm doing it because I care about those streams since they are part of my history and growth as an animator.
I want to keep these moments I shared with many of you. This is slowing me down guys, It sucks, just letting you know that this week I'll be juggling these two things. Next update I will show you finally a piece of the parody's thumbnail and write down the patron names. <3
