November Q&A

In reality the "if the prophecy isn't fulfilled we'll be in a drought for all of eternity" seems like a pretty good deterrent to hostile takeover of a desert kingdom. Chili's got her bucket at the ready. "We know ways to get you to talk" "What's that a bucket? Are you going to stick my head underwater? pathetic! I can hold my breath for-" sees the hot sauce "W-w-wait! we can talk about this!"

I know it's way too high up; that was supposed to be the joke :D

That paper seems too high in the body to be in the rectum. I would suggest it's more likely in the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine.

careful zaphira just because someone hasn’t tried to assassinate you doesn’t mean it won’t happen

1. Oh good lord, the twins are not self aware enough to know which one of them they are. This is about to be like that one episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody where the titular twins see an old videotape of their parents first taking them home after their birth only to get confused on which of the babies are one and the other, thus causing them to wonder if they’ve been each other this whole time. Then again, we’ve established that they both share a singular brain cell and their personalities aren’t really that different from each other, so maybe this conundrum won’t matter much. 2. Shhhh. Don’t let anybody tell her about the rebel uprising out for her head. Her heart won’t take it. In all seriousness, it sadly isn’t surprising that Oasis had to deal with a failed coup d’etat or two behind closed doors, when you consider the condition that the kingdom was in before Shen arrived. Frankly, when you’re living in a malnourished and dehydrated country in the middle of the desert, people are suffering because of it and the ruling class won’t give you answers to your concerns except “Trust the prophecy”, you’ll find that eventually people will grow sick and tired of presumably nothing being done about the situation, being told practically nothing about any plans the higher-ups may have for it, if any, think the queen to be an uncaring overlord and try to commit a hostile takeover and solve the problem themselves. Honestly, Zaphira is very lucky that Shen arrived when he did and knew exactly what to do to save the day, because if he didn’t arrive until later or didn’t know what he was doing when he did, one way or another that would have been the end of Oasis as we know it, whether it be from mass death through dehydration and heat stroke or the people all deciding to tear apart the monarchy from the inside out. 3. Ok, on the one hand you can’t blame a girl for knowing what she likes on her food, but on the other hand you have to question whether or not buying a literal bucket, not a packet or bottle, but a bucket full of nothing but hot sauce is a sign that you may have a problem. No wonder they put up a therapy session to get to the root of it. I like how you can tell Tristan has a lot to say about this subject but is trying to find the right words so that he doesn’t come off as rude or inconsiderate. Also, Luna as a therapist. I guess it makes sense that she would take up a profession centered around healing mental health, but somehow I never pictured her as that until now. I’m just now imagining her in a therapist suit and some reading glasses and the image is an interesting one, I’ll say. 4. Oh my god, I am so sorry I asked, Zummeng! You’re very lucky to be alive after Vyra’s rampage, in case you haven’t realized. Also, Luna as a doctor is absolutely the profession I can see her take in the modern world. The question is, is she a surgeon, and if she is, does she just heal people with her powers or does she do surgery the old fashioned way? Damn, a medical issue not even Luna can fix? That thing must’ve been jammed WAY in there. I hope that piece of paper doesn’t cause problems for you in the bathroom moving forward. Regardless, here’s to getting a big blood transplant and hopefully a speedy recovery afterwards. (Side note: This is going to sound weird, but I feel like we don’t see Luna’s cute little tail enough. It always seems to either be tucked within her kimono or out of camera view. If possible, I would like to see it more often, but maybe it’s just me.)
