No, Mira. That's not control, it's guidance. Something you got in spades from Luna. You don't realize just how lucky and privileged you are to be adopted by her while Nigel and Tristan were left to wonder, lost, without a guiding hand.

BahamutsChosen

Nigel doesnt get that if that happens and something goes wrong not only can the people not help themselves and look for their god to safe them, they also still will blame her just as much for something going wrong. making people make their own decisions is imo a very good thing. free will is more important than control, cuz in the end with just controlling others the people become too depended and if she dies they dont know how to make their own decisions anymore.

Kuro

I'm guessing that this is how Nigel was raised by his parents. Nigel does have a point that maybe some of what happen to him could have been avoided if he Luna did a better job.

GreenVector1985

What Nigel never seemed to hear was "Hey, you can come back later." His parents thought he only had the one shot, and they pretty much abandoned him after he didn't make it. And that messes with a kid, especially one who was given literally all the love and attention until it just abruptly dries up.

Seems like Nigel has used the intervening years to think a bit. Probably still blinded by bitterness, but maybe the years have removed... some of what has blinded him. Though if he had family that loved him instead of loved what legacy he could continue, he might be more well adjusted.

So Nigel explained what Luna should have do then and he got a point, how can someone follow the right path if that person has not anyone who would guide him. On the other side for Luna is too hard to be a real mother, she already took a challange by taking Miralle with her and not everyone was pleased with that. Maybe she didn't want him to end up in a same way, but doing nothing was better than helping him? Leting him follow the bad path was the right thing? I think the fault belongs to everyone: Nigel, Luna and also his family.

Serico

Miralle gets points for speaking Tuhruth.

QQQQT2

Nigel's mindset is going to be a problem when they run into the villain who is doing exactly this.

Lea Ribbing

That’s probably how Nigel’s mom treated him. No wonder why Luna said he was lacking free will.

Alex Bordo

So Nigel *does* have a more nuanced grasp of what Luna did wrong in his situation (and Tristan's, to an extent), now he needs to understand what He did wrong and how he can improve.
