And I don't know why, but I had a hard time making some shadows (especially Tristan's hair). Strong light can distort colors, so I had to shade him on a different layer XP

But today, while searching for something else in my YT history, I finally found it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lc-lV5LEVQ It's an old animated short film from 2016 called "Shine", and the eyes and facial expressions of the light-absorbing critters look just like Tristan's to me. Did you perchance ever watch it? :P
