Today (monday) was very relaxing. I had scheduled no extra promo spots, so I had only the kids show at 3pm and ETHOS at 7.55. I had brunch, I had a nap(!), I ate a lot of things. I chatted to my dad on the phone who has just finished a long walk in the lake district. It paid off in spades, and tonight was the most lovely show I've had of the run so far.
A lot of credit for that goes to the audience who were collectively full, and laughed a lot, which is always nice for a comedy show.
I'd made a few small changes too in my FREE TIME(!!!) today, so I got to have a bit of fun as well, and there was just enough looseness to make it feel very flowing and nice (at least for me).
Sunday was a hard day, I had a bit of personal stuff and a lot of spots, and the show was a bit lumpen, or at least it felt so, so to have such a sweet one tonight made me very happy. It's amazing that the show can feel changed so much from one night to the next, without changing in the essentials (or really the words).
I did a few spots after my show on Sunday night, including the very fun and very late ACMS (Alternative Comedy Memorial Society) and they went well, which was nice.
I was happy to have such a nice Monday, because next Monday, which is many people's day off, I'm doing The Trilogy, and it's just struck me that I really haven't promoted it at all. So I should get on top of that.
I wanted also to say thankyou to all of the people, patreons and teacast listeners and Bugle listeners who come up and say hallo after the show, when I'm packing up the robot. If you're reading this, thanks for that. It does make me feel very happy.
