[Y.Trudy] How Should The Series Age?

Trudy had a birthday on September 21st, but I made no reference to whether she has advanced in age or if she's still 19. And the buffer has reached New Year's Eve, but I've also made no reference to the year.

Which got me thinking, how should this comic age, if at all?

Should it be like most cartoons, where the characters have birthdays but don't age (a la The Simpsons), or age in real-time, or should it age, but not in real-time, progressing when I want (like the comic Baby Blues*), which could offer up creative freedom still without the pressure of real-time?

Let me know what you think I should do in the poll below, but I'm leaving the ultimate decision up to me.

___

*Baby Blues is a long running comic strip series about parenthood. The comic has progressed over the years opening with one child, then a second and then a third. The series has been running for 31 years, but the children age real slow.

Comments

Definitely wouldn't want real time unless that suits the arc, but slowly aging should give more opportunities eg eventually into the workplace from college etc
